One price Photo Pass?

For those of you who didn't know where to find the $99 pre-order for the Photopass CD for Disney World here is the link: http://www.disneyphotopass.com/previsitoffer.aspx. They don't offer it right on the Photopass site for some reason. There are rumors that the price will be going up soon so if you're going to WDW any time soon you may want to buy it now. Apparently it doesn't expire once you purchase it, but I would definitely check with the Photopass people first. :)

Did the pre-order offer for $99 expire? The link says pre-order is now $119.95 (compared to $169.95 if bought after the trip)

In the post you quoted, that poster mentioned that the price was rumored to be going up. The new price took effect a couple of weeks ago. The preorder is now $119.95.

does DL have the special photos where you can pose and they add in tinkerbell or stich or mickey etc. ?

Yes they do - here is a list of typical locations where photopass photographers can be found around DLR along with any special poses available. I've never actually been to DLR so I cannot confirm how accurate the list is. However I'm taking my first trip there the end of April and plan on printing out this list and finding all of them!

At DLR, they will add Tinkerbell in front of Sleeping Beauty's castle. They will add Mickey in front of Walt's statue. You can get photopass pictures taken in front of Tom Sawyer Island/Haunted Mansion (sometimes), Princess Fantasy Faire (taking pictures with the princesses), at Mickey & friends' houses in Toontown, sometimes in Tomorrowland (Jedi Training Academy).

DCA, they take pics in front of Grizzly River Rapids (near the wheel), on the bench near GRR (they add Stitch), on the other side of GRR (where you can see the California bear), in front of Aladdin's Theatre, in front of Hollywood Tower of Terror, near Toy Story. They used to have it in front of the Golden Gate Bridge too, but that's gone now :( :confused3

How come on the site it says the cd is $169
http://www.disneyphotopass.com/photocd.aspx
Is this a price increase?

Do you only have the photographers take pics in specific locations, or can you request them to do so while eating and doing certain things? And is there a line to wait in just to have your pictures taken by them?

I believe once you put in your order it will default to the lower price.

Last week I bought a Photo Gallery CD/Photopass PhotoCD value pack for $59.95. It comes with a certificate with a code to enter upon checkout online. I think this is a bargain.

There are usually photographers a few places on Main Street, at Character Meet and greets (PFF, Pixie Hollow, etc). They are not at the Character Dining experiences. Sometimes they are with the Characters that are roaming around. Sometimes there is a line, sometimes not.

An interesting thing I ran into last week when we found Bert from Mary Poppins and a photographer was standing next to him. I asked if she would take photos and she told me she is not allowed to take pictures of Bert or Mary Poppins because Julie Andrews owns the copyright to them.

Where can you buy that specifically? At the Main Street Photo Supply Co.?

Thanks, this is good to know. I have not used photopass before, but thinking about it for our summer trip.

That is interesting, Hmm. I wonder why she was stanging next to them then if she could not take a picture?

Yes, exactly! It was behind the computers where you can pull up all your pictures to look at them. It is in a case like movies come in and the cover is green and gold in color.

When you enter a PhotoPass Card from DLR the price will change to the current $69 DLR PhotoPass CD Price. There is a code on the photopass website to bring that down to $59. This deal ends at the end of April.

The photographers are station in various locations and at many of the meet and greets. If it's not busy they will wander with you, though this is not common. Some can not move as they use tripods others do simply hold their camera. There can be a line though they are mostly short, it depend on the time and location. A lot of people want pictures in front of the Partners Statue in the Hub, not many in front of the Mickey flowers as people rush into the park.

That is the current DL locations to take advantage of this offer.

Does anyone know what the current price is? Is there a way to preorder to get the $59 for when we go in July?

I just checked the photopass site. The price they are quoting me is $69.95 + $4.95 shipping (total $74.90). Has anyone looked for the Gallery CDs in the park lately? I'm wondering if they are still available and how much they cost.

The Gallery Value Packs were available in April for $59.95 + tax.

Can someone please explain this to me?
The last time we went to DL, we got a free Photopass card from the first photographer, then we had pictures taken while we were there, then we got home and looked at our pictures and bought the ones we wanted.
I don't understand what the prices are that you are talking about. Isn't the card free?

It is still the same as you are remembering. The price we are discussing is if you want to purchase the cd which includes every photo you have taken during your stay. So instead of purchasing only the prints you want through Disney, you can order the cd and then print as many as you want much cheaper at Target, Walgreens, etc.

Does it seem strange to anyone else that the photopass website says $169 and when you order the price will drop to the lower price. How long is this offer running for and how can you tell? If you commence the order and the price doesn't drop, can you cancel the order? $59 seems a great price but I'm not so sure about $169. :confused3

The $169 is for Disney WORLD. That is the default on the Photopass site. If you want a cd for DL, the price will change before you order.

This is what the Gallery CD looks like that you can buy at the Photo Shop on Main Street, it has the coupon in it to send off for the Photo Pass CD.

You can also add your ride photos to the CD (after you buy the rights to them.)
