One pin limit starting next week?

Did anyone else hear from their DS that there will be a one pin limit starting next week? It could mean relief for those of us buying one of each pin -- as long as we're within the first 24 guests!

Thoughts?

I might be in the minority by saying this but I hope it's not true! We buy for at least 3 people every week who for one reason or the other, cannot make it to a Disney Store to get pins! This is going to make it VERY tough for those of us that help out others!

If it is true, I wouldn't be surprised if this was a store-by-store decision. My Mom's DM told them weeks ago that they could put tighter restrictions than required if the stores decided that they were necessary. But with some stores having lines starting at 6 AM, and other stores having only one person waiting at opening, I don't think a cross-the-board 1 pin limit is necessary. But I do think the stores should have some discretion to limit to 1, if there are 20 people in line and only 6 pins available for purchase.

I agree with Lauri. I have been buying pins for myself and Peggie every week as Peggie has to work on Saturdays. It will be hard for her to get any of the pins if they do that.....

I started out buying two sets and a few extra here and there every week.
Now I am at one set and a few extras.
But this pin shortage is getting beyond ridiculous.
You would think we were trying to buy mystery pins. Maybe we are -- they mystery is if they even have any.

I agree with Lauri also and for the same reason. Since this pin *thing* began I've been picking up extra pins for friends (different friends every week). In the next few weeks these same friends were going to try and *cover* for me since I can't be at TDS. If they incur this NEW rule I'll be out some pins.

I certainly hope not as our little group has been arranging to trade off getting pins when others are out of town. Like DH picked up a set for me today for Dawngee.

Oh no! Thanks for reminding me! (Not!) I do have pins to p/u for others! I guess I'll just have to drag the better half and our son out very EARLY on those weeks when I need to p/u pins for others. Shoot! OH well... I'm hoping the policy will chase away any Ebay (non-collector) types who've been showing up to buy and scalp.

Our store has had a 1 pin limit for the past few weeks. I thought it was that way at all stores.

As of yesterday, Sat., I did not hear anything about changing the limit. I had worked with both CMs that were on and I'm sure they would have told me if things were changing.

I sure hope they don't limit us to one pin of each number. That would be disasterous for those of us who have been helping each other out.

Well, I'm going to go out and do some Christmas shopping of my own (shhh .. don't tell Lauri ) while the "Mean Team" is off to Potomac Mills. I think the CMs at the Disney Store know us by now, so I'll ask them about it.

We had a 1 pin limit this week 'cause the manager said they only got 23 full sets (23? Hmmmmm...) and there were more than 23 people in line. Actually #11 only wanted the Reluctant Dragon so #24 - who, it turned out, had no idea why she was in line, got an almost full set of pins she thought her great-grandkids might like for the holidays!

The store had extra boxes of some though and handed them out as requested. No one indicated the 'one per' policy was permanent but...I suppose it all depends on whether or not they get all 48 of everything like in most weeks past.

I did ask one of the CMs at our Disney Store Sunday. "Ariel" told me that "as of right now" they haven't heard anything about that, but that doesn't mean something like that might not happen.

I know a couple of weeks ago they only received a very few of one pin and did ask everyone to limit to one per person on that pin.
