We have 3 different member numbers. (A small headache yes - but we deal with it.) We want to make a reservation for a week. We are less than 7 months away. I want to make 3 nights with one member number and 4 nights with another member number. Can I link these ressies to ensure not having to move - even though they are different memberships?

you are the member listed on all the contracts right?

then you can.

You can link points with cash - so I would say this is even easier.

You could also use your once-per-year point transfer to put all the points in one contract if they have any issues with linking the reservations. But as spiceycat said, I don't think it will be a problem to link the reservations.

I know that MS can do magic and link reservations from two members (both with their own member numbers). My sons family and My wife and I are both owners at SSR. We made reservations for a 2BR the first week in December. He reserved the first 4 days and I reserved the last 3 days. MS linked them together so that we will not have to change rooms while there. My confirmation even shows the reservation number and all 7 days of the reservation. :sunny:

There shouldn't be any problem with linking reservations. We do that all the time when we travel with our daughter who is also a DVC member. Often, we'll use our points for the first half of the stay, and they will use their points for the last half. MS links the two reservations so its a seamless stay for us.

No problem. I have 2 member #s and did just what you will be this past May. MS linked the reservations and sent me only one confirmation for the whole stay. Was a non issue.

Yes from here as well. We've done this several times and with 2 rooms and having to go between both memberships for a day in this room, then the other membership to pick up a couple days, then back again. It's a bit of a juggling act but MS has been able to help us work it and link them so we've had no trouble with the reservations and check-ins have perhaps not been flawless each time but it has worked and without any real problem.

A friend and I split a reservation last April. I booked nights 1, 3 & 4, she booked night 2. Even though we had 3 reservation #'s, they were linked to look like one reservation. No problems with check-in and the dining plan.

The only issues come with booked views or room types. Say you have a dedicated 2 BR booked under one number but a lockoff with the other. If you're booking at 11 months out it's not usually a big deal but it does become an issue later many times, esp at or after the 7 month window. Same for view types at BWV and special unit types (2 BR 2 queens, etc) at BCV.
