Because of the pain medication that I am presently taken, I tend to take short naps during the day. A few minutes ago I woke up after having one of those freaky cruise dreams. With all that I have been reading about the past few days here on the DIS about the Magic heading to the west coast and the cancelling on the Oct 28th cruise, I guess these things were on my mind when I fell asleep.

In my dream, I was on the Magic at the Internet Cafe (fancy that), when an announcement was made that everyone needed to report to their safety stations. Once there, we were told that we were approaching the Panama Canal, and that all the passengers would have to get off the ship and walk along the locks until the Magic reached the last lock, then we could reboard the ship. As the Magic made it's way through the last lock, it sailed away, leaving all of the passengers standing on either side of the locks. People started screaming and hollering, "What's going on here, come back for us." Then everything got very silent, and I heard the sound of the voice of one baby crying in the distance. The sound of the crying was so real that it woke me up, it was then that I realized that my niece's seven month old baby was crying out in our living room, her father had dropped her off an hour earlier today while I was sleeping.

I think I will stick with sailing the Caribbean, and stay away from the Panama Canal, LOL!!! Maybe the Magic was going to pick everyone back up on it's way back to the east coast??? Dreams, don't you just love 'em???

:faint:

That is just too funny. Iam trying to picture that huge crowd of people standing on the dock. Thanks for the laugh!!

You made me laugh V.M.!!

I have two questions for you...

1. What the heck were you drinking before the nap?

2. Please tell me that the baby was not in your care! PLEASE say there was someone else home responsible for the baby!
(I guess that wasn't really a question! Sorry)

You have definately got Disney Cruisin' on the brain, friend!! Isn't scary when these kind of dreams feel so real? I am not sure, but I think that one could be classified as a nightmare!! LOL!!

Andy this is not a dream - It is a NIGHTMARE. Everything was fine until the ship started sailing away. Thanks for sharing. Surgery is not far off and hopefully that will alleviate the pain for you. Mike

Major LOLLOLLOL here!!! Thanks for the good smiles and laugh Andy! I'm tired today, and really needed that!

Keep on dreaming, but next time, dream about staying in a concierge stateroom and a 2 week cruise would ya?!

That sounds like something that would happen on a CARNIVAL cruise!

That is really funny, I woke up this past wednesday morning to my first disney cruise dream, Im getting close to my july 24 magic cruise, and have begun actively planning itinerary, so Its on the brain. It was sooo wierd.

At risk of embarassment here goes:

We entered the Magic, and were having lunch at Parrot Cay when my DS noticed our room numbers were 8026 and 80something or other . I screamed wow! weve been upgraded to 2 adjoining cat. 4s!! Then I paniked, because my luggage was being sent to my old room. I went to my cat room which in the dream was a cat 11 or 12 and looked like the 5th floor, but In reality I have a 6 and 11. Sure enough the luggage was in the room, I used my key for the cat 4 room and it worked, I went into the room to get my luggage, a minute later a family entered the room and started yelling at me to get out of their room. I was so embarrassed and begged their pardon. Then I woke up (still smelling the food that was being served at Parrot Cay.

What could that possibly mean (besides that I must be nuts)????

LOL:crazy:

Andy -

A drug-induced dream indeed, good thing the meds aren't any stronger. You might have been dreaming about the wait staff replaced with Characters, serving us plates of whipped cream had that been true.

Hopefully nothing like that happens on 8/21 right? I'd hate to be stuck in the canal zone for our vacation, I've heard not much goes on there.

I had a nightmare about cruising last night. My dream/nightmare was that my DH and I got off the Magic, we were standing inside the port and I realized that I had not shopped in the gift shops on board the ships. I was mad at my DH for not reminding me to shop on board. Glad I woke up and realized it was not reality. We're going on our 4th DCL cruise on 9/18 and I plan to frequent the shops. Jan

I'm with you on the Cat. 1 dream.

Now, maybe if I can think about that really hard, I can go to sleep tonight and at least dream about it.

Thanks for the laugh!!!

Oh, we are truly addicted, aren't we? ::yes::

I think we should take a poll to see how many of us dream about the cruises!

As my cruise gets closer and closer, I'm having dreams almost every night.

The other night, I was stuck on the verandah and no one was around to let me back in.

I wish I was stuck on Castaway Cay! :teeth:
