Because of the pain medication that I am presently taken, I tend to take short naps during the day. A few minutes ago I woke up after having one of those freaky cruise dreams. With all that I have been reading about the past few days here on the DIS about the Magic heading to the west coast and the cancelling on the Oct 28th cruise, I guess these things were on my mind when I fell asleep.
In my dream, I was on the Magic at the Internet Cafe (fancy that), when an announcement was made that everyone needed to report to their safety stations. Once there, we were told that we were approaching the Panama Canal, and that all the passengers would have to get off the ship and walk along the locks until the Magic reached the last lock, then we could reboard the ship. As the Magic made it's way through the last lock, it sailed away, leaving all of the passengers standing on either side of the locks. People started screaming and hollering, "What's going on here, come back for us." Then everything got very silent, and I heard the sound of the voice of one baby crying in the distance. The sound of the crying was so real that it woke me up, it was then that I realized that my niece's seven month old baby was crying out in our living room, her father had dropped her off an hour earlier today while I was sleeping.
I think I will stick with sailing the Caribbean, and stay away from the Panama Canal, LOL!!! Maybe the Magic was going to pick everyone back up on it's way back to the east coast??? Dreams, don't you just love 'em???
