One of the funniest things I've ever heard at WDW:

When we told our families that we were taking our first trip to WDW, my adult cousins and their parents very doubtfully wished us well. Then they explained that on their trip to WDW the lines for all the rides were always at least 50 mins long, and they were very disappointed with Cinderella's Castle-they walked through it, and there was nothing in there at all!

We didn't overhear this but saw it on our trip a few weeks ago.

On the ground in front of the exit to It's A Small World was a BRA! Not a young girls bra but a ladies bra. DD12 and I busted a gut laughing. We were standing there waiting for DH and the little ones to come off the ride. Eventually a CM came along and scooped it up. Now how do you lose a bra and how do you lose it there?

All I can say is that each of these people get jury summons! Trust me, its not merely vacation overload that renders people completely clueless.....there is a fair amount of the population that wanders around on a daily basis that are simply grateful to have figured out how to open the front door to leave the house that morning! :lmao:

:rotfl::rotfl2::lmao: You are right

Did you tell them they could have paid about $120 and had a mediocre meal there?

Some of these sound like they were made up.
Our first time to WDW, we had no clue, did not make any plans or did any kind of research. Still, we found all there is to WDW.
There is no way that people shell out this kind of money and are this clueless.
Ergo, I think you guys made these up to post in here.

Ask any CM and I can assure you, these are not made up. Today alone I had to tell 14 people how to "get downstairs" If you're wondering what the answer is...

Keep walking, stop at stairs/escalator, walk down them. :confused3

I really hope a few of those poor souls found their way down.

One of the funniest things I've ever heard at WDW:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We were in DHS on 12/12 in the early afternoon....probably about 1pm. We were back in the area of the Stunt Show and I heard a woman go up to one of the stands selling popcorn and pop and say "Excuse me, but are there any RIDES here?" She emphaised the word "Ride" like she was disapointed in what she had seen so far. It was a man and woman with kids on the older side....middle schoolish maybe.

I can't imagine spending that much money to take my family to a park and to have no clue what there was to do. And, to not even pick up a map on the way in???

Like I said, it was later in the day and they had made their way to the back of the park and had not found one "ride."

I can't even imagine....

To wit I say that they should have said the following to that befuddled guest:

"Actually there was only one ride here at the Disney parks and it was at the Magic Kindom (true statement by the way). If ya look hard enuf, ya may find a tribute to it somewhere inside the Magic Kingdom.

Now if ya wanna SEE a ride (and a 'Great One';)) go to Hollywood Studios!"

.......that wudda stumped them to no end:lmao:.

"Toadi Acceleratio Semper Absurda."

I went with my friend who has been there a million times- I go commando with my disabled son and she said she wanted to also- great someone to hang out with- she lasted until around 11:30- was hot- told her to have a drink- go in the shops(ac), lets go on a longer ride- we need to stay for the 3:00 parade. She told me she has never seen the 3:00 parade- I told her in all the years you came her you never saw it??: She said no, what time is it? :rotfl2:

"You won't believe how f$#@$&^ big this place is. You just have no idea what we have gotten ourselves into here."

Now that is funny!.

I have been calling MK, Disney for almost 40 years. HS is still MGM to me and there are a host of other things too. Most people don't use correct names for things. Get over it.

Talking of newcomers that don't do their research...

I heard about a couple that bought Disney tickets. First place they went to was DTD, couldn't find where to show their tickets and went 'in' anyway, thought it was a huge rip-off as no-one asked to see the tickets and didn't bother going anywhere else.

Well, I don't know these people (just what someone told me) so it could be an urban myth

We were sitting on the balcony at the Boardwalk one day, just chilling, and there was a couple sitting by us. The girl let out a huge sigh and said to the guy 'is there anywhere else we can go? We've done this one, and the one opposite, and I don't like the swan place. Thought Disney would be bigger than this.'

Nope, this in definitely 100% true. The girl could have been joking but it sure didn't sound like it.

Second happened the other night on the bus from MK to Pop Century, it was EMH evening, we were all tired and wanting to get back to the resort, when someone on the bus passed gas, and it was TOXIC, so these two southern guys started making comments about the smell, and how bad it was, but the funniest to me was when the announcement came over the loudspeaker about taking small children by the hand, one of them said "the children are all dead, they suffocated from the smell", and believe me, it was even funnier hearing it with that southern accent, my friend and I were busting a gut we were laughing so hard after that, now whenever we smell something nasty we say to each other in a southern accent "the children are all dead, they suffocated from the smell!" and it gets us going now.

This made me laugh so hard that I just choked!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

We got back on the 15th from a 10 day trip. I can't even count the number of times DH and I would look at each other and say TOXIC! What is up with the pooters in the world!!?? Between walking into a cloud of stink in the parks -- I guess people poot as they walk thinking "I don't have to smell it and no one will ever know it was me!" -- and people pooting on the monorail/bus I needed a mask! Heck, we even had a pooter on the ME back to the airport. People, go see you doctor or learn to hold it in!

The "resort" designation is very confusing and somewhat inconsistent.

Disney refers to ALL of the WDW complex as "The Walt Disney World Resort."

Disney refers to ALL of the Disneyland parks area as "The Disneyland Resort."

Plus, they also refer to each of their WDW hotels (yes, they ARE hotels) as "Resorts."

It's interesting to note that they do specifically call the Disneyland Hotel a "hotel,"
but it is just as much a "resort" as any of their other resort hotels.

And, they are building a new resort hotel complex in Hawaii called "Aulani Resort and Spa."

Most Resorts do have hotels, but not all hotels are necessarily resorts.

And they should never be confused with pickles.

A few years back we were in line for Dinosaur at Ak and a I noticed that the family in front of us had very young children with them. I ask them if this there first trip here and they reply yes (not very friendly people). I couldn't help myself so I say, this ride can be kind of scary for young children (quietly so the children couldn't hear). I like to ride the ride myself first to see if I think its ok for my kids. Well you'd think at this point I was trying to be mean to them the way they looked at me. They said they knew what they were doing and gave me a dirty look. Ok now I felt bad, but I was in the same car as them. Oh my gosh, :scared1:till this day have never heard children scream so loud or cry so much. :rotfl2:

On our recent trip my youngest Dd 6 had to use the bathroom quite urgently. I get her set on the potty and she starts singing very loudly, "taking care of business, everyday, taking care of business oh yeah." I almost fell over laughing so hard.

My Personal Favorite:

Tour group walking through Fantasyland, they all stop and look at Small World.

Group Leader: That must be that haunted house, lets not go in there.

Haha, if he only knew!

Second favorite:

Said to a DVC CM.

Excuse me sir, my husbands wheelchair is stuck under your sink around the corner. You being a big burly guy can you come pull him out??

Single scariest ride at WDW! :rotfl2:

I love the "your sink", like it's the CM's fault! :rotfl:

12/5 MVMCP we ride Space Mountain. I am in seat 1 DW in seat 2 and a family of 4 behind us. As we are exiting the ride when the wife and I overhear a boy about 9-10 tell his mom, "I was going to scream, but there was an old lady in front of me"

Yep, you guessed it. That was the kid sitting behind my wife.

:rotfl:

I am telling everybody that story!!!
