One of the best (and least mentioned) features of SSR

I liked your assessment of the open hallways. I like them too, and the only thing I like better is OKW with NO hallways.

If I were to mention some favorite SSR things, it would be the spa and the little community center that feels like a real small town. I also LOVE Turf Club for dinner, and that race horse statue with the hidden Mickey's is one of my favorite things to see as well.

I don't suppose it would be a problem to tell of the brown bat we found hanging from the ceiling in one of the hallways back in Congress Park?

A quick call to the front desk was made, but, we stared at that bugger for a bit.

I too like the floors. We use the pool a lot and don't worry about getting the carpet wet.

HEY DIANE!

Hope you survived the winter up there!

Hey, that bat was hired by Disney for bug control. That was Bucky Bat, Mickey's cousin.

Yeah, let Bucky eat all the flying bugs he wants :rotfl2:

Here is a photo from 2007. This is the "indoor" part of the outdoor hallways. I agree with the OP, I like the hallways.

This might sound strange coming from the guy who started the thread asking what people would change about SSR, but I also like the outdoor hallways.

Up until buying DVC, my favorite Disney resort was Port Orleans Riverside. I love resorts that open up to the outside. For the life of me, I have no idea why someone would want to wind around in indoor hallways when they can open their door and be on their way.
