One of my co-workers made my day today!

I weighed in last night (third week) and found that I hadn't lost anything. I was so bummed. The first week I lost 5 lbs and the second week I lost 3 lbs, I was expecting to have lost again this week... alas, nothing.

So- today, I wasn't in the greatest mood. My self esteem was at a low point and I was just plain grouchy.

Well, one of my co-workers (an acquaintance, but not really a friend... someone who doesn't know that I am on WW) said to me:

"You look great- have you lost weight?"

:bounce:

I was so excited!!! I can't really tell a difference if I look in the mirror. I have gone down from a tight size 20 to a loose size 18, but I can't really *see* a difference.

She has no idea how much she lifted my spirits today... it was just what I needed.

Just thought I'd share. ;)

How great! You didn't lose but you didn't gain. Perhaps you lost some inches :)

I'm glad your acquaintance was so nice as to pay you a compliment today. I'll bet you do look great!

Compliments are good for morale, sounds like this one came at exactly the right time. I am on WW too, in the first two weeks I lost 9 lbs., so I was so surprised at week 3 when I lost nothing, then week 4 I lost nothing, very discouraging to say the least. But here I am almost at the end of week 6 and I have lost 14.5 lbs., so there is hope. I don't understand why the weight comes off like it does, but what I have learned is there are good weeks and bad weeks and as long as you keep at it you will be successful. And a few compliments thrown in there really help to keep the motivation. Congratulations of what you have lost so far.

That's wonderful!!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: You're doing great! I know how you feel after not having a loss, but you can do it! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Yaaaaaaaay!!! That is fantastic! Just the boost you needed. I bet next week the scale will be your friend again. 8 pounds is quite a loss. I hope the compliment you got today stays with you over the next few days and really boosts your self esteem. Pat yourself on the back for the 8 pound loss. The rest will follow in time!!! :) I don't want to jinx myself, but I think I might have one of those "no loss" weeks when I weigh in on Monday. I just keep putting on my shorts that fit again and I feel better knowing that they DO button and I can wear them without cutting my circulation off! ;)

Hang in there and keep up the great work!!!!!

That is awesome! It feels so good when people notice! As long as the inches are coming off, I don't mind the pounds not changing so much!

Keep up the good work!

And doesn't that great, warm feeling from your co-worker's compliment make you want to find more occasions to spread more compliments around? :D

Thanks everyone!

Well, I weigh in on Wednesday and I'm hoping that I have a loss... if not, that's okay, too.

Like you guys said- my clothes are fitting so much better, and that's what I really want more than anything. I just need to tell myself not to focus so much on the scale.

That's the key! Feeling better and clothes fitting! Don't worry about the scale. If you keep to the plan and focus on how you feel and how much better you look in your clothes, the scale will take care of itself!

Keep up the good work!
