We are bringing our inlaws with us on our upcoming trip in Dec/Jan and were thinking of asking them to watch the kids for the evening while we went out and did Disney without them!
But we are at a loss for ideas.
Ask me to plan a day for my DD5 and DS2 and I can do it in my sleep.
Here is some background info. We enjoy all the rides at WDW and are pretty easy going for food. The only thing we do not want to do is spend more than $100 for this night. We have annual passes, so we do not need to worry about tickets and we are staying at AKV.
I am open to all ideas and appreciate any info anyone is willing to give.

Personally, I would make an ADR at Epcot in the World Showcase for dinner around 7 or so. I would go a little early if possible and have a drink or 2 in the World Showcase, then go to dinner. After dinner, I would watch Illuminations (probably while eating a treat from the Karmel Kuche and drinking a beer from Germany :) Then, I would walk over to the Boardwalk and go to Jellyrolls!

Definitely Jellyrolls! I'm slightly obsessed..:rotfl:

So what exactly is at Jellyrolls?

Jellyrolls is a dueling piano bar so there will be 2 musicians playing songs/singing. Basically, people from the audience request songs and sing along, etc...it's really a lot of fun!

This is what we did (minus Jellyrolls) when we hired a babysitter during our trip last year. EPCOT is the perfect park for a date night.

My husband and I did just that. We put the (:dance3:)kids in the Sandcastle(beach Club kids Activity Center)and went out for the evening. You are lucky you have family watching your kids(COST SAVING)
We went to Dinner(france) to a restaurant we would never go with the kids.We took our time its was a real adult meal. French food with the fire works going on in the back ground , glass of wine or whatever(I dont drink)
Great Adult conversation. GREAT WAITER. Also that night we saw a couple eat and run. No joke. They actaul ran out of the rest. We saw the whole thing. The waiter did run after them, but did not find them. Security was notified. This gave a little excite as well. But we were very upset to see that.
ITS A DISNEY WHO WOULD DO THAT.
We also went to the Boarwalk Resort area. Yes Jelly rolls it was so much fun.
You could also go to down town disney. Many restaurants to pick from and may be a live band playing. Check it out. l( House of Blues) You could also have a long nice walk from the Market place to the Cir Stadium at the end of Down town Disney.
What ever you do. Do something you would not do with your kids. MAKE IT ADULT TIME FOR A COUPLE WHO PROBLY NEVER GETS ITS.Married 15 years and have 3 kids and just to get a little along time is difficult, but when its happens...... pixiedust: ENJOY YOUR GREAT NIGHT....
