Which of the three on-site Universal Orlando hotels is the best value for the money? Which is the best of them all, all things considered?

Thanks!

Royal Pacific has the lowest rates. I have stayed at the Portofino, also, and it was lovely. All 3 resorts are comparable to a Disney deluxe, the room sizes go up slightly from Royal P to Hard Rock to Portofino. Since I need 2 rooms, I don't find any reason to stay anywhere but RPR now. The resorts allow pool-hopping and it's very easy to get to each of them via the boats to enjoy each resort. You can't go wrong with any of them. :goodvibes

Rates really vary with occupancy. You may find better rates at PBH than RPR. All are worth staying at!!!

I just got back from RPR It was the cheapest and beautiful. I will be honest we spent so little time at the resort (really enjoyed parks & City Walk) I would go with the cheapest room on property. FOL makes it worth it!

I stayed at RPR for a conference and toured the other 2 hotels while I was there. I had lunch by the pool at each one. I was very impressed with all but PBR seemed too quiet to me and it was the furtherest away. HRH and RPR are very quick/easy walks to the parks. You can walk from PBR but you pass HRH on the way.

I was very happy with RPR, I was expecting it to be more of a moderate feel but it was very nice and very clean. I just booked our family there for May! It was about $200 less than HRH and $300 less than PBR.

You can't go wrong with any of them..My favorite is PBH..Very beautiful, the largest rooms and quiet. It is the furthest from the parks, but still walkable

we just decided to stay one night at universal as well,
what rate did you get for May?
we are getting $285.75 for just hotel with taxes,
trying to weigh pros and cons for just one night!!
stopping on our way to airport from vero beach to home!!

Make sure you call and ask for any special rates such as AAA.

Great idea to check about AAA discounts,
thanks!!! we are rethinking staying on site and maybe just getting cheaper hotel outside to save $$$,
any recommendations on this!

Just remember the difference in benefits you get from staying offsite and onsite. If you stay onsite you get unlimited express access for the day of check in and check out as well as early admission to Wizarding World. If you stay one night offsite you aren't going to get either of those benefits.
