Wow, you certainly saved some serious cash using it that way. I have been sconsidering whether it would be worth us doing the DXDDP for our last ngiht at Disney in Cotober but just not sure whether we would eat enough for it to be worth our while.

I think what the OP is trying to say is that the Deluxe Dining Plan includes 3 meals a day, either table service or quick service. How you wish to utilise your credits is up to you. Although it is intended that the 3 meals should be breakfast, lunch and dinner it seems as though you could actually do dinner on day 1, lunch on day 2 and dinner on day 2 rather than breakfast, lunch and dinner on day 2 (or day 1)

Since it was an AP rate, we did not have to buy tickets.

This is correct. The credits can be used at any meal at any place that accepts the dining plan. The credits can also be used at CS instead of TS places. The credits have to be used anytime between check-in and midnight of your check out day.
