We are planning to leave the kids at the Cubs Den one night during our May trip. Having trouble deciding where to eat without them? So far, I think we have it narrowed down to Artists Point or California Grill. We also plan to try Le Cellier, but thought of the three that would be the best one to try with the kids. We have never eaten any of these locations.

Also, if we go with Cali Grill what time would be best if we wanted to be able to catch the MK fireworks while at the restaurant?

We've never made ADRs before arriving, let alone this far in advance. Needless to say, I've had more than my share of CS burgers & fries and futile attempts at dragging semi-conscious preschoolers to late-night dinners. Hoping to broaden our horizons this time around. Thanks!

I've never been to Artist Point but the California Grill is great. Nice atmosphere and the food was excellent. I try to go 60-90 minutes before the fireworks. I don't like to hold up a table and book too early in order to see the fireworks. It's not fair to the other people with reservations. You can get up and walk out on the promenade whenever the fireworks start.:)

We have done both Artist Point and Cali Grill. In my opinion, there is no question , go with the Cali Grill. The food and service are superior to Artist Point and if you view the fireworks from this venue, it really seems like a special evening versus a special meal.

We usually make ADR's for 2 hours prior to fireworks so we can linger over dinner. (Our dinner usually includes apps and the delicious Cali choc cake which takes a while to cook). In the event that we finish early, we have never minded lingering on the balcony waiting for the fireworks. Sometimes we buy drinks and have our nightcap watching Wishes.

Enjoy your night:)

Have you thought of Victoria and Albert's or maybe Narcoossee's? You can probably still watch the MK fireworks from the GF beach or hop on the monorail and see them from the Poly beach.

Just another suggestion.
