We are going to DW in June with some members of my extended family. We are all booked at the Poly for the entire week. My mom just called over the weekend and offered to take my two children(ages 1 and 6) for one of the nights while we are there. Since we have never been to DW without the kids I don't really know where to begin to look for my options so I decided to turn to the pros here on these boards. What would you do if you had only one night without your kids. Where have you gone just as a couple and had a great time. We already have priority seatings at Ohana's for Father's Day night dinner and for 1900 Park Fare for later in the week with the entire family. We are hoping to find something that would be special and something that we could really not do if the kids were with us. Any thoughts or suggestions? We really want to hear what you think:)

Thanks in advance

if they are offering E-Ticket nights, what we would do would be to go play in the MK all by ourselves and ride Space Mountain 6 times in a row, then wander somewhere romantic for a drink like to the Poly or the California Grill;

or if we were feeling young and adventurous, then go to Pleasure Island and try to get our groove back.

You might want to give West Side or Pleasure Island a try since it's aimed at the adult crowd. When we were blessed with babysisting services by my wife's parents on a previous trip, we went to Pleasure Island. Plenty of entertainment choices such as the Comedy Club and several different dance clubs (rock, country, R&B, etc.)

My parents did this for my sister and I when we went once. My sister and her husband went to V & A. My husband and I went to eat at Japan and then went to the MK and did some of the rides that a 3 yr old didn't want to do and we ended up at the HM at 11:30 at night.

I vote for Victoria and Albert's as well. If your budget will allow. If not I would find another romantic restaurant to go to.

A big vote for the Adventurer's Club!!!

If you haven't been, this would be a perfect time to spend an evening at the AC. It's not a dance club, but not your typical comedy club, either. As a matter of fact, it's anything but typical!!

It's a hoot . . . . loads of fun and you can wander in and out as you wish . . . make sure you stay long enough to take in the shows in the library.

Another big ol' vote for the AC.

If it were me, I'd take my wife to a PS at one of the resorts, take a stroll around the Boardwalk, then go close the AC. And don't forget to go outside at midnight to see the fireworks!

DH and I did that last year. We went to Epcot. It's so beautiful at night. We ate at Tangerine Cafe, then leisurely strolled around World Showcase. We nibbled on French pastries while we watched Illuminations. It was a really sweet, romantic evening.

Keep the great ideas coming. I know there is an adult world at DW and since I have never seen it I am now in search of it. Thanks for helping:)

You may want to try and book an illuminations cruise for the evening show so:

Dinner somewhere nice
Cruise
Pleasure island
Maybe a midnight or post swim/spa at a quiet pool that is still open

Thanks
Jason

We had 1 day & night alone in WDW last summer...it was heaven! ;)
We spent the day by the Poly pool, sipping frozen drinks on the beach. We had an early dinner at the Kona Cafe(my favorite) followed by a walk down to the wedding pavillion and back. then we hopped the monorail to the MK and a bus to the BW. We first visited ESPN for a drink(great mudslides for dessert ;) ) then we went to Jellyrolls for the remainder of the night. It was a blast.
Have fun whatever you decide!
