One night in a Deluxe, what to choose

We are planning on spending 1 night in at a deluxe resort but can not decide which one to choose. Traveling will be me, DH and DS (18 months).

I would choose Poly, based on location and easy access to MK!

My boys - including the 42 yr old - have always wanted to stay in the "monorail hotel" aka the Contempoary. Of course, they want the tower, not one of the side buildings.
OK I admit I too would love a Cont. tower room but I am more interested in a MK view.

The last time we drove (5 years ago?) we got in 1 nite early and called cro on the way down stating we got an extra nite for something special what's open? And they gave a few suggestions we were pretty tired having driven straight through and not expecting too (could not help ourselves)! We opted for the Grand floridian. It was our 1st time there and only for 1 nite we had the garden view and got conch key over looking toward the quiet pool, and could see the lagoon to the left of our balcony we had a dormer room. It was really special they check us right in (10 am) to the room took a nap and enjoyed the resort for the day (to tired to go to mk).

Of course, we stayed there for 2 weeks in 2001 and probably would not return again just "not our cup of tea" for a long stay, but for 1 nite it was very magical! We felt like royalty! And got to try a resort that we probably would not of tried had it not been for 1 nite.

Also we now relaize that 2 weeks in any of the resorts we start to loose some of the magic (except CR & POLY so far) so we usually split our long stays. You usually wind up noticing things that you would overlook for a few days but after 2 weeks are annoying and start to be a problem.

Pick somewhere you always said Hmmmm.... I wonder what they are talking about and should we invest all that money in that, be a certain resort or concerige for just 1 nite and hang around the resort or concerige area and really utilize what you have invested in! Our next big try out: I really want 1 nite on the 14th floor concerige in the contempary resort! Its a steep price but 1 day we will get there!

Several years ago a friend and I arrived a day earlier than the rest of our party so that we could spend a night at the Grand Floridian.

A week there would bankrupt us, but fora very magical night it was wonderful. We did the whole nine yards, with a wonderful dinner out and breakfast delivered by room service.

While others might recommend The Polynesian or Contemporary, I think for one magical night to start your vacation the Grand Floridian can not be beat.

We also have to make a choice for just one night - the night before we start the Fairy Tale package. We are trying to decide between Beach Club and Animal Kingdom Lodge. Pick a resort that you have always been curious about or always wanted to try!

Go for the Poly, you will be happy there.....
