"One More Waffle!" An October 2011 TR! *Update 4/24, pg 70-The End!*

I agree.....why waste room on salad! get me the good stuff!!

Hitchhiking ghosts???? That picture is awesome! I had no idea it existed! lucky you :worship:

Your dinner at O'hana looks so yummy! We eat breakfast there, but haven't tried dinner yet!

AAHH!!! That Adventureland sign makes me want to be there SO BAD right now!!!
We've been having summer-like weather here in Ohio lately and it makes me want to be in disney that much more! Seeing that sign sealed the deal, but I don't forsee a visit anytime soon :(

So nice that it's not as crowded this night at MNSSHP!

The Poly, yummy 'Ohana food, and a less-crowded MNSSHP...sounds like a great night so far! Cute pictures with the hitch-hiking ghosts and with Pooh's house.

It was a great night, 'Ohana is the best! Thanks, I was actually happy with the hitchhiking ghost pics, which is rare for me! :rotfl:

Yay and update! I love the picture of you at Winnie the Pooh's house! Super cute. And yes, I practically started to cry when I saw your Adventureland sign. I can hear the music and smell the smells. Ah to be back there right now! I would rush right to POTC!

Thanks! I just listened to the Adventureland music on youtube...I want to be there right now! I'd love to be on POTC right now!

I almost missed that you updated!

I love the Hitchhiking ghosts! I hope I can get a similar photo in October! (provided I can get the trip to work out after all... lots of bumps in my road to get there!) I also love the pooh picture!! That is so cute! And do something I would do too!

I can't wait to ride Winnie the Pooh again! I want to compare it to the DL version which I can ride mid-afternoon with a very short wait so I'm curious to see if there is a difference or if the wait difference is because of the placement of the ride in DL! (In DL it is in Critter country at the back of the park and not in Fantasyland.)

Oh no, I hope you get to go on your October trip! :goodvibes The hitchhiking ghost pic should still be there, it's right near the Haunted Mansion, but it's kind of hidden, so be on the lookout!

Ohhh, I need to go to Disneyland! I want to compare all the rides to the WDW versions! I've heard a lot of the at DLR are much better, and I want to actually walk in Walt's park! I keep thinking we should just skip the Fall trip to WDW this year and go to Disneyland! But then I think about not going to WDW again and I get so sad! But I know I'd love Disneyland...I hate that CA is so far away from me!

Great update! Love that last picture of you. Too funny that the little boys told you to get out. :rotfl:

I also love the pic of the hitch hiking ghosts! Brandon does look shocked. :rotfl2:

Beautiful pictures of the Poly. It really is so gorgeous there.

I'm with you on the Ohana noodles. They are SO good. I also love the chicken wings. I usually fill up on all the goodies before the meat is even served.

Thanks! Haha, yeah, I suppose Brandon looks shocked! He just looks funny to me!

I love the Poly! I need to stay there someday!

Mmm, the chicken wings are good too! I fill up on the noodles too, so I don't eat much of the meat, but that's good too especially with those dipping sauces...ohhhh, why did I cancel that 'Ohana ADR? Oh that's right, because I'm a good wife and Brandon didn't want to eat there!

I love that you told them not to bring the salad out at Ohana. No reason to waste your time with lettuce!! :rotfl:

Your Ohana pictures REALLY make me want to go there someday! It looks sooo good!

YES that Adventureland sign picture makes me want to be there right now! Really, any Disney picture usually has that effect on me. But especially Adventureland. I'm not sure why!

Love your Hitchhiking Ghosts pic!!

Haha, nope, we can't be bothered with lettuce, just get to the good stuff! :)

You've never been to 'Ohana? You have to go! It's amazing!

Most Disney pics make me want to be there too. But sometimes I just look at one certain one and it has an almost physical effect on me...like I need to be in Disney World RIGHT NOW! That's how I feel about that Adventureland sign!

I agree that traveling by monorail is the best!

Ohana looks so yummy...one of these days (like in October) I'll make it there for dinner...and I'll pass on the salad, too, because that's GENIUS!

I love your hitchhiking ghost photo...so much fun!!

I love the monorail! I need to stay at a monorail resort soon, that's all there is to it! :rotfl2:

You have to go to 'Ohana! It's amazing! Haha, we didn't even plan on asking them not to bring out the salad, our server just said she was going to bring it out and we were like "well, we don't really need it, we don't eat it!" It worked out pretty well, no use in wasting table space with salad!

Thanks, I love that picture too!

I LOVE Ohana...we got engaged at the Poly last year after eating there so that may be one reason...the other is the NOODLES!! :rotfl: I swear I don't even care about the meat at that restaurant, just bring me the noodles and maybe a few wings and potstickers

I am glad to hear your second try at MNSSHP was less crowded :thumbsup2 I love the picture with the ghosts! And yes the Adventureland sign and walking in that direction very much make me miss Disney too!!

Awww, getting engaged at the Poly is so amazing! :lovestruc I like the meat at 'Ohana, but I could seriously eat all that other stuff and be happy! I don't know what they put on those noodles, but they are so good!

The 2nd MNSSHP was much better than the first, much more laid back! And less crowded, that always helps! AHHH, I can't wait to be back in Disney! 44 days!

Your description of Ohana's makes me want to eat there so bad! that bread pudding...I'd be estatic if someone in my party didn't want to eat any of it!

Hope this MNSSHP is less crowded for your guys!

You have to go to 'Ohana! It's one of the best restaurants at Disney World! The bread pudding is reason enough to go there! :worship:

MNSSHP was so much fun, I'm so glad we did a 2nd one! pirate:

HOORAY MONORAIL HOORAY. Yes, I know exactly what you mean. There are SO many things about Disney that lead me to say "where else can you do this?" And the answer is usually: NO WHERE! Disney yall, that's the stuff. :cloud9:

BUNNY! I know that there are for sure Disney bunnies at All Star Music! And I know there are Disney opossums at All Star Sports. The Poly Disney bunnies are cooler and fancier though.

Omg, um, YES. Only it wasn't the Adventureland sign that made me want to burst into tears, it was the side shot of the castle AND THEN the Adventureland sign. I swear, it's like I have a chemical imbalance and need to eat, sleep, and breathe Disney at all times in order to live. Dang, I'm dramatic right now. HAHAHA.

Hahah I love the hitchhiking ghosts picture! Too funny! Can't wait to hear what else yall did at the party!

Haha, ohhhh, you're so right about the monorail! It's such a Disney-specific thing! I'm sure there are other monorails in the world, but they're not Disney monorails! :woohoo:

There are Disney opossums? :scared1: That's one Disney animal I could do without seeing! I have nothing against them, they're just not cute! Disney bunnies, however, are the cutest! And Disney ducks! Especially baby ducks, which i'm hoping to see in May! Springtime is baby duck time!

You're not being dramatic, I feel the same way about Disney! I can't wait to go back!!! I'm getting SO anxious now that it's getting close! And I still have the whole month of April to get through!

*Sigh* Ah yes. Very true. AHH I MISS DISNEY!!

Oh man, I would never touch the salad at Ohana either. Or the veggies. Please, I need stomach space for the unlimited quantities of meat and of course... THOSE HEAVENLY NOODLES!! Oh my gooooood I totally agree with you, they were my favorite part of the meal. And that's really saying something since I loved everything at Ohana so much, but those noodles! :cloud9:

Love your hitch hiking ghost picture!

I miss Disney too!! :sad1: I want to be there right now!!

Haha, oh no, I don't bother with the salad or veggies at 'Ohana! I'm guessing they only do that for parents who want their kids to eat healthy, or people who seriously go to Disney and stick to their diets while they are there, because why else would they waste all that time and table space on salad and veggies? Don't they know people want the noodles and wings and meat and dessert? :rotfl:

I'd give anything for some 'Ohana bread pudding right now. I really have to try the recipe at home and see if anything close to what they serve there, because thinking about a dessert all year is not normal! :rotfl2:

OK so now that I'm caught up on the last two updates:

YAY for getting the Captain Jack Vinyl! You have really good luck with those!

The geyser picture at WL is beautiful! I would so blow that up to like an 8 x 10, mat it and frame it, then hang it in my living room! And that Poly Beach picture too...it it weren't for that random stranger in the chair....

I agree with Shannon, the meat at Ohana is 'eh' to me...bring on the noodles, wings, and pot stickers! Oh, and DEFINITELY that bread pudding! :cloud9:

The Halloween Party sounds like it's already shaping up to be better than the first night you went! That stinks the Jack had a long wait already! We waited like 90 minutes to meet the Seven Dwarfs so if Jack was less than that, we would have waited!

Dude, you and I are SO in the same boat! I literally gave myself A YEAR to lose weight. If I had actually stayed on track I could have lost 45lbs before our trip in July. I finally joined WW Online back in February and I've been totally sucking at it! Granted it's JUST about to be one month on it, but I've lost like 1/2 a pound! Of course, my scale was BROKEN and I didn't know so it was telling me I was losing weight when I really WASN'T. We bought a new scale last week and I'm trying REALLY hard to be good! Of course, every time I get on track with exercising, something happens! In November, I starting using my stationary bike...I used it every day for 30 minutes for almost 2 weeks and then I fell and hurt my knee really badly. Then finally last Sunday, I started using the bike again, 30 minutes every day...and then Friday I had an unexpected surgery on my foot...so I haven't been able to do anything! It's so frustrating, it's like the universe is working against me, or something!

Haha, I don't have good luck with Vinyls! There are so many that I left out of this TR because I immediately traded them away! :rotfl: I was happy I got Jack Sparrow right away, though!

I want a picture of the Poly to frame someday, but only after I stay there! :thumbsup2

I do like the meat at 'Ohana, but I LOVE the noodles! And the wings, they're so good! My favorite thing ever though, is that bread pudding! I could live on that!

I'm not sure how long the wait was for Jack, but the line was insane, it went on and on forever, and since he can talk, it seems like he was taking his time with people! He was really realistic looking, though! Part of the reason I would have felt stupid talking to him...I feel like I would have said something really embarrassing!

Trying to lose weight is so annoying. :sad2: It's so discouraging to me because I have SO much to lose, that it seems like it's such an uphill battle that when I do lose 3 or 4 pounds, I'm just not happy about it. It's like yeah, I lost 3 pounds, I still have 77 to go. (I'd like to lose 80 pounds all together...which is a LOT of weight!) So I get frustrated and give up. Then I weighed myself for the first time in like, a month, the other day and saw I gained 3 more pounds, and I got so upset. :sad2: This is the heaviest I've ever been. I need to lose some weight before Disney, I can't go to Disney on my anniversary trip the heaviest I've ever been, that's so depressing!

I've been going for walks this week on my break at work, and my friend let me borrow a Zumba DVD, which I did and loved, so I'm going to order the DVD's for myself, so I'm hoping once i start doing that a lot, I'll start losing. And I need to rejoin Weight Watchers, but I keep putting it off. :sad2:

Just wanted to chime in on the WW thing. I was looking into it for my hubby (without his knowledge, just wanted to see what it would be like so that we can both eat healthier and control our portions.

I think the new system takes calories into account, but it makes sure that those calories are "good" calories. Before, it seemed like the type of food didn't matter, just the calories. I could eat an entire box of donuts and hit my points for the day, eat nothing else, and WW said I was "fine" under the old system. From what I can tell, the new system wants you to eat healthier foods, so calories are only a portion of what is taken into consideration when they calculate points. =)

Great pictures of Ohana! I love that place too! What day of the week was this party? I have heard that the Sunday and Tuesday parties are less crowded. Was this party on one of those days? Just trying to plan for our trip.... in 18+ months, LOL!

The old system of WW used to use calories, fat, and fiber to calculate points...this new one doesn't, because they say that all calories are different, so they don't like to use them anymore. :confused3 I don't know what sense that makes, but it kind of annoys me. I used to have the old WW down to a science, I could just look at the nutrition facts on food and calculate the points in my head. There's no way to do that on the new plan, you HAVE to use one of their calculators. And on the old plan, it seemed like every point was equal to 50 calories, which went up or down, depending on the fat and fiber in the food. I don't know. I liked the old way better. Maybe I'll just do the old program, at least I know it works for me. :thumbsup2

Thanks, 'Ohana is great, isn't it! This party was on a Thursday, and the first one we went to was a Friday, which was sold out! I'm guessing Fridays are probably always pretty crowded!

The new system is....different. The online app has a TON of food that is preloaded so you don't have to calculate the points manually. BUT, if you have to use the Point Calculator for something that is not already loaded into the system, it only asks you for protein, fiber, carbs, and fat and it uses that info to calculate the points. I'm thinking that it's because fruits and vegetables will sometimes have calories, but they are still healthy for you, so they will still come out to be zero points, but if it's basing the point value on calories, they would not be 0.... If that makes any sense!

I just don't like that the new system doesn't use calories in their points calculations. Yeah, now they use carbs and protein, which is good, but I feel like they need to add calories back in. I don't get how all fruits and veggies are 0 points. On the old program, lots of them were 0 points, but there were some that were like, 1 point per serving, which is because there are calories in them! I don't know...I need to give the new program a fair try, but I really like the old way better!

Great update, Jen. I'm with you...there is just something spectacular about the Poly and the view cannot be beat. I miss staying there (we've not been since 2004).

I'm glad you had another great meal at Ohana. We've never done dinner, but I agree with you...I'd skip the salad too and just go for all that meat (I don't care for noodles so I'd skip them). Mark would LOVE the bread pudding (me...not so much...I don't do anything with bananas in it).

Sounds like a great start to MNSSHP...and can't wait to read more. I love that hitchhiking host photo (I didn't see them out last year :confused3).

Thanks! The Poly is so beautiful, it seems like a vacation in itself! I really need to stay there someday! :lovestruc

'Ohaha is great, everything is so good! I don't like bananas either, but you can just push them aside and eat the bread pudding and ice cream and the caramel sauce!! OMG that sauce is to die for! :cloud9:

That's strange that you didn't see the hitchhiking ghost PP, it was on the way to the Haunted Mansion, but it was kind of hidden! I didn't know what it was at first, but then I saw people pose like they were hitchhiking, so I kind of figured it out after that! :rotfl2:

Love the hitchhiking ghost picture!

I understand what you mean about the Adventureland sign. For me for some reason it's the walk between Tomorrowland and Fantasyland.

Thanks!

I love Tomorrowland, pictures of it have the same effect on me as that Adventureland sign! It's always the little things that get me! :cool1:

Ohhh 'Ohana! :lovestruc I can't wait to eat there again in July!

We almost booked the Poly for our July trip! It would have been about $400 more than Beach Club, and John said he'd actually rather walk to Epcot that ride the monorail, but I still want to stay at Poly ASAP! I think we will stay there summer 2013 for our fifth year anniversary! :goodvibes

OMG I don't know what I'd do if I met Jack Sparrow! Can you only meet him during MNSSHP or can you meet him on regular days too?

I love your hitchhiking ghosts picture! So cute! They've come a long way since we had ours taken in 2008!

That picture of you in the tree is SO cute! You look adorable!

Great update! Can't wait for more! :thumbsup2

I can't wait to eat at 'Ohana either! But it won't be til later this year, how will I survive that long? :scared1: And what if we decide to go to Disneyland instead? I'll have to wait til next year! I don't know if it's possible...''

I almost booked the Poly for our trip too but I kept thinking about the Beach Club and the Epcot area in general, and I love it SO much over there that I wanted to stay there again. And if I do stay at the Poly, I'm gonna need more than 4 nights there. I need at least 8. I want to do rent one of those cabanas and just have a whole day there to hang out and soak it all in. :lovestruc

I think the 2011 parties were the first time in a long time that they had Jack Sparrow meet and greets. I would love to meet him, but I'd feel SO stupid!

Thanks, those are like 2 of 5 pictures of myself that I like from the whole trip! I can't stand being in pictures!

That Jack Sparrow vinyl is the coolest one ever!

I love those Ohana noodles, too. They're so good and I thought they were the best part of the meal, until they brought out the bread pudding.

It was crazy how short that line was for the hitchhiking ghosts picture. It was like that for us, too, that night. I think maybe no one realized there would be ghosts added in later. Your picture turned out great!

Isn't that Jack Sparrow vinyl the best? I mean, Buzz is awesome, and the Caterpillar from Alice in Wonderland is pretty cool, but...it doesn't get much better than Jack Sparrow! :lovestruc

Haha, I know right? Everything at 'Ohana is SO good! Ahhh I want to go there again SO bad!

I couldn't believe how short that line was! OMG that's right, you were there the same night we were! :cool1: I gotta remember to add that to my TR update when I get there, how I saw you guys from the back and almost ran up to you like a crazy person! :rotfl:

I agree.....why waste room on salad! get me the good stuff!!

Hitchhiking ghosts???? That picture is awesome! I had no idea it existed! lucky you :worship:

Haha, exactly! :thumbsup2

Isn't that picture so cool? I love that they add in ghosts to your pics at the Halloween party! :woohoo:

Your dinner at O'hana looks so yummy! We eat breakfast there, but haven't tried dinner yet!

AAHH!!! That Adventureland sign makes me want to be there SO BAD right now!!!
We've been having summer-like weather here in Ohio lately and it makes me want to be in disney that much more! Seeing that sign sealed the deal, but I don't forsee a visit anytime soon :(

So nice that it's not as crowded this night at MNSSHP!

Thanks! OMG go there for dinner! It's awesome! :cool1:

Ugh, we've been having summer weather here, and I can't stand it! I hate the summer, so the fact that it's 80 in March is NOT making me happy! Although it does make me want to be in Disney too, so I can relate! :thumbsup2

It was nice to have a less crowded MNSSHP, since the first one was so insane!:scared1:

I have over 100 pounds to lose! :scared1: It's somewhere between 125-140, I believe. You have to start somewhere and focus on the small steps rather than the end result. I heard somewhere that it takes 21 days for something to become a habit and today was my 21st day in a row of working out; I was at the gym every single day except last Sunday when Greg and I went for a walk around the neighborhood. Obviously, my main goal is to weight a healthy weight but I'm also doing it to feel better in general. Now that I've been working out and eating better my stomach issues are subsiding and I don't feel sluggish during the day. That being said, when I'm in Disney next week, I'm NOT holding back.

I'd actually like to lose 100 pounds, but I'd be happy with 80. :thumbsup2 It's just so overwhelming! I have a hard time focusing on the small steps at first, once I start losing and the weight loss starts accumulating, then I really get motivated, but at first, a couple of pounds here and there just bothers me! I know that's a bad attitude to have, which is probably why I always fail, but I can't help it!

I've heard the same thing about it taking a month or something for working out to become a habit...when I used to go to the gym, I actually felt that I got into a habit of going, but lately, even when I exercise every day, I still don't feel that way! Maybe I have some mental block or something, something in my brain that just doesn't want me to lose weight! It's SO frustrating! :sad1: Every time Brandon and I go to Disney, we always say "we'll be skinny on our next trip"...and oh look, the next trip is here, and we're still not skinny! (Although, he only has like 30 pounds to lose, which he could probably do in like, a month! :sad1:)

I think I'm going to just rejoin Weight Watchers and make myself follow it the next 6 weeks and see what happens. The first few weeks are always the hardest for me, so hopefully I can get myself through that and really focus this time. I'm glad you're feeling good lately, and losing weight, that's very inspiring for me to hear! :thumbsup2 And I'm also glad you're going to let yourself eat on vacation, because that's part of the fun of vacation, you know? :dance3:

He was really realistic looking, though! Part of the reason I would have felt stupid talking to him...I feel like I would have said something really embarrassing!

We met him at the P&PP back in 2008. It was POURING and we were literally soaked so he basically struck up a conversation with us about that...but it was brief. There were a lot of people in line (more so because people were trying to get out of the rain) so he kept it moving. It's definitely a meet & greet I'd do again!

I think that the first step is definitely to stop letting yourself get discouraged. You have to learn to appreciate the small accomplishments! One thing I like about WW is that is sets small goals for you instead of one big one. So your first goal is lose 5% of your weight. It seems less overwhelming when you do it that way and if you lose 3lbs it seems like you actually made a dent, you know? I have about the same amount of weight to lose so I know how frustrating it is! One thing that I found REALLY helps me, is to eat breakfast wait about 45 minutes or so and then exercise. If I do it first thing in the morning, I feel guilty if I eat junk during the day! So I basically guilt myself into eating better! I just can't wait to be able to start biking again!

I agree about the small goals! When I stepped on that scale the first week and saw that I lost over 5 pounds, I was ecstatic! I ate lasagna, garlic bread, a blt sandwich, a shake, cheese fries and a fried chicken sandwich! The second week, I made even more changes mostly b/c of my trainer's requests and I lost just shy of 5 pounds but I also had chips and salsa and a steak quesadilla. Cutting carbs has helped me probably the most. I still eat the carbs but I just do so more mindfully. I also have been avoiding carbs all together one day a week (my own personal goal). If you need encouragement and someone to talk to whose going through the same journey message me and we can exchange phone numbers/emails so we can text and such. :)

I'm still planning my October trip. It's just some circumstances came up about my lodging that I was totally not expecting! Because of that the trip just may not be as long and as extravagant as I was originally planning.

I actually ended up going to Disneyland because I wanted to go to WDW in October 2010 but it was going to be too expensive! Since I am only 5-6 hours away (by car) I ended up getting an AP so I went 4 times! I let me AP expire though so no Disney until this coming October (which will only be a year since my last DL trip so not TOO bad!)

You know how annoyed I am that we missed those Pirate and Princess Parties? Ughhhh!!! :sad2: Sounds like it was fun to meet Jack! I'd like to meet him, but I'd feel so intimidated...Jack Sparrow is just so...well, let's just say, dreamy, to keep it DIS appropriate! Well that, and I'm also afraid of the Princesses because I don't know what to say to them either! I just can't talk to the face characters! It's weird to me! Maybe in May...maybe!

I like that about WW too, it seems like 5% is a pretty attainable goal! Tomorrow is the last day to join for free, so maybe I'll just go sign up and give it another try. What's the worst that can happen? I've actually been doing pretty good this week, I've exercised every single day and I ALMOST skipped taking a walk today because I have a migraine, but I forced myself and I'm glad I did! :thumbsup2 Maybe if I've lost a pound or two, that will motivate me to keep going!

It's always nice to see that first weight loss on the scale, I agree about that! And you have to allow yourself a cheat day, or even just a cheat meal once in a while, or you will go crazy! I'm awful with cutting carbs though. I can't live without carbs. The most I can do is eliminate the white carbs, like white bread, white pasta, I just replace it all with wheat. What do you eat the day you skip carbs all together? That sounds like a good idea, actually! :thumbsup2 I'll PM you my number so we can text, that's always helpful! And I can also send you pics while I'm in Disney in May! Are you on FB?

I'm still planning my October trip. It's just some circumstances came up about my lodging that I was totally not expecting! Because of that the trip just may not be as long and as extravagant as I was originally planning.

I actually ended up going to Disneyland because I wanted to go to WDW in October 2010 but it was going to be too expensive! Since I am only 5-6 hours away (by car) I ended up getting an AP so I went 4 times! I let me AP expire though so no Disney until this coming October (which will only be a year since my last DL trip so not TOO bad!)

Oh good, I'm glad you're still going! I have to join your PTR, I always see it, but for some reason I always forget to join! I'm not doing it on purpose, I promise! :rotfl: Don't worry about your trip not being extravagant or long or anything, just being there is good enough!

I'm so jealous you're so close to DLR! I really want to go there! If I go, it's going to need to be between Halloween and Christmas so I can see the NBC Haunted Mansion, I absolutely HAVE to see that! And I want to see the reindeer and the candy canes being made!

Off With Your Head!

Thursday, 10/6

After we finished visiting with Pooh and Friends, we went in the direction of

P1000958.jpg

Tomorrowland! Don't you just love Tomorrowland at night? There's just something so perfectly Disney about it--the neon lights, the music, watching the People Mover fly by...have I mentioned that I can't WAIT to be there in 6 weeks? :cool1:

Since Space Mountain had pretty much no wait, we decided to go on that, and it was awesome, as always! (Does anyone else think the queue is really, really long when there is no one in it, though? And have you ever noticed when there IS an empty queue area and you think "great, I can take my time and soak it all in" people come in right behind you and want to walk so fast that they are practically on your heels? Ugh, so annoying! Next time I'll just move to the side and let them through!)

When we were walking out, I tried to get some pictures of the adorable futuristic scenes

P1000963.jpg

Is that robot serving Midori sours? Yum!

P1000965.jpg

(One of us always ends up dancing some kind of jig when we're on those flat escalators leaving Space Mountain, I have tons of pictures from various trips like that!)

Sadly, our fun in the Space Mountain exit had to come to an end, so we decided to go over to the Hub to watch the Villains Mix and Mingle. When we were walking over there, I turned back to look at Tomorrowland to see this:

P1000969.jpg

AHHH!! Those spiderwebs are SO cool! I love they use almost every inch of the park in one way or another to decorate for these parties!

We found a great spot to watch the Villains show right in the middle of the Hub, and not soon after we got there, it started! I don't have any good pictures of the show, I have this one decent one and that's it:

P1000978.jpg

It was hard trying to take pictures because they were moving around so much! The show is basically the Disney Villains, singing and dancing, which is honestly, kind of strange to me! I mean, I get Cruella and the Queen of Hearts, and even Dr. Facilier singing and dancing around, they all seem like the type of villains who like to have a good time. :dance3: But the other ones? Jafar? Maleficent? They don't seem like the singing and dancing types. I almost felt bad for them that they had to be a part of this.

And then, when you think the show is over, the Queen of Hearts comes back out and does this little dance...you know what, I can't even describe it, here, you can watch for yourself:

Off With Your Head!

(I love the girl at the end..."oh...oh my God, that is the BEST! :rotfl:)

Weird, isn't it? Well, needless to say, I had that song stuck in my head all night!

I'm glad we watched the Mix and Mingle, just because it was SO strange! The Queen's dance was definitely the highlight!

When it was over, we went up to the front, just to check out the lines for the Villains, but they were way too long to even think about waiting in, so we just found a spot and settled in to watch Hallowishes! Hallowishes was one of the main reasons I wanted to do a second Halloween party while we were there, it's such a great fireworks show, the music is awesome! I still prefer Holiday Wishes, but that's only because I'm a Christmas girl, it's just personal preference! Hallowishes is just as good!

P1000998.jpg

P1010014.jpg

Since I'm probably the most stubborn person I know, I insisted that we go check the line for Jack Sparrow again, even though I had a feeling the line hadn't gotten any shorter! We walked through Adventureland and sure enough, there was still a really long line!

Brandon was nice, and offered to wait with me if I really wanted to meet him, but I said no. I considered it, but I figured it would take at least an hour, and I wanted to see the second parade that night, so we just moved on. Looking back, I wish I just waited in the line and met him!

We found ourselves in Fronteirland, and what do you do when you're in Fronteirland?

P1010025.jpg

Go on Splash Mountain, of course! We made our way through the mob of people waiting for the Seven Dwarves (really, WHY are they over there?) and the people going through the candy trail to find that Splash had no wait!

We got in our log and started our adventure through the briar patch. Everything was going along great until...we stopped.

P1010031.jpg

I started thinking about my friend Joni's TR about getting stuck on Splash and almost had a mini panic attack...there's no way I could stay in that log for a long period of time! So I distracted myself with taking pictures

P1010032.jpg

and texting Joni about how WE were now stuck on Splash and finally we started moving again! I'm not sure how long we were stuck on there, but it was probably the longest amount of time I've been stuck on a ride!

When we were free from Splash, we found a spot in Fronteirland to watch the parade. It wasn't a great spot, but we could see and that was fine, I didn't need to have the best spot ever since we saw the parade a few days before. I was just looking forward to watching it and not obsessively taking pictures this time! (But of course, I took a few anyway!)

P1010045.jpg

Sassy!

Daisy! I love Daisy SO much! It bothers me that she's not part of the Fab Five, I mean, she's Donald Duck's girlfriend, what more does she have to do to get some recognition? Look at her makeup-purple eyeshadow!! She's too adorable!

P1010058.jpg

Oooh, the Haunted Mansion ghosts were my favorite part of the parade!!

P1010057.jpg

Yay, I love this picture because you can see the sparks from the shovels!!

Once the parade was over, we were pretty tired, and we felt we did everything we needed to do. So we slowly started to walk over to Main Street. This part is always hard for me, especially in the Magic Kingdom, making that walk to Main Street to get ready to leave the park. But it was even harder that night. This would be our last visit to the Magic Kingdom for the rest of the trip. No more Magic Kingdom. You just have to let that fact kind of sink in for a minute. When you start eliminating parks, you realize your trip truly is almost over. :sad1:

However, it wasn't over yet, and I refused to be too sad about it! So we stopped in the Emporium, where I bought another Vinylmation, and we got a Photopass picture taken:

Photo0082FourBySix.jpg

(Brandon hates that picture because his shirt is wet!)

And then we saw the Pooh characters by the flag pole! We skipped meeting them at the first party, but the line wasn't terribly long, so we waited!

While I was waiting, a man and a woman in pigtails walked by, pushing a familiar looking double stroller...I thought "huh, that's probably Pirate Kate." I knew she was going to be at the same party as us, and I kept a lookout for her and her adorable little boys all night, but I never saw them! I was 99% sure that now, this was them, but I only saw them walk by! I thought about running up to them and saying hi really quick, but I thought I might look like some crazy person! And what if it wasn't them? Embarrassing!

I couldn't think about it for too long, because they were leaving MK and it was our turn to meet Pooh, so what could have been my first DIS meet (IF that was even you, Kate!) just didn't happen...but I did get to meet the Pooh characters all together, and I made sure to stand next to Eeyore!

Photo0084FourBySix.jpg

It was finally time to leave, it was around 11:30 at that point, so the party was almost over anyway. We didn't even attempt to take the boat back to the Wilderness Lodge, we went right over to the buses, and within minutes, we were at our resort. We were pretty exhausted by then, so we got changed and got ready to go to sleep!

Before we could go to sleep, though, there was one thing I had to do-open my new Vinylmation! I bought another Toy Story Vinyl, and I was HOPING that it would finally be Buzz Lightyear. I opened the box, ripped open the plastic, and in my hand was...

IMG_0901.jpg

BUZZ!!! The coolest Vinylmation ever!! My quest was complete!

It was the end of another amazing day in Disney World! We were almost at the end of our trip, but we still had 1 and a half more days of Disney magic to look forward too, and I was ready to make the most of it!

I love reading about MNSSHP! We're going to our first one this year and I can't wait! Costumes are still in the works, we're having a hard time all deciding...

And I can also send you pics while I'm in Disney in May! Are you on FB?

I actually just had a cheat meal. We went to one of our favorite Italian places and I had garlic bread AND pasta AND a couple of alcoholic beverages. I was feeling like I wanted to eat everything bad for me today but I stayed on track for breakfast and lunch. So yay me!

On a more depressing note, I weighed in this evening and I only lost 1.3 pounds. It's frustrating because I thought I made the best choices this week. My trainer also said that she wanted to see 15 pounds when I saw her in 3 weeks (and that was last week). That isn't going to happen. With that small number this week and I know I won't lose weight on vacation. So...

On my no carb day this week I had egg beaters, fruit and OJ. For a snack I had some yogurt and grapes. Lunch was turkey lunch meat, celery, carrots, hummus, peanut butter and clementines. Dinner was chicken breast, fresh spinach and green beans. I felt satisfied and didn't miss the carbs at all. :)

I do have FB but I'm not sure if you can search me or not. PM me and we can exchange info! I can also send you pictures when I'm in Disney NEXT WEEK!!!

Ahhh love the picture with the Winne the Pooh gang! So adorable! Pooh is my fav and Kyle's fav is Eeyore.

So jealous you got Buzz! We just started collecting last November and decided to collect exclusively Toy Story characters. So far we have Rex, Jessie, Hamm, Bullseye, Wheezy and Lots-O. We live about 15 minutes from the Mall of America which has a Disney store, but not Toy Story Vinylmation.

As much as I love EPCOT, I am always saddest when I know I won't be going back to MK until another trip.

Getting stuck on a ride panics me too!

I never saw those spider webs, that is too cool!! When we were there the line for jack and for the dwarfs were both insane. I am sure Tim wanted to wait but I said no :rotfl:

YAY for the Buzz Vinylmation!! We also have that one and he is one of my favorites, I love his helmet!!

Ugh, garlic bread is one of my weaknesses! If I smell it, I want it and who can eat just ONE piece of garlic bread!? Unintentionally, I have cut WAY back on the amount of carbs I've been consuming and I've been avoiding going to Italian restaurants so I'm not tempted! My thing is that if it's in front of me, I will eat it, so I just have to avoid all of the stuff that's bad for me. When I go out to eat, I order my meal without fries. If they're in front of me, I'll eat them even if I don't really want them! :goodvibes

I wish they would bring the P & PP back! It was SO fun, even if we were literally up to our ankles in rain! I used to be weird around the face characters too but you really have to picture them AS the character to make it work. If you sit there and think "I'm sitting here talking to a grown woman who thinks she's Princess Jasmine" you'll get all flustered and feel stupid! You have to get it in your head that it's the REAL Princess Jasmine (or Jack Sparrow!) and it will be much easier! They actually REALLY like to interact with adults! Especially Jack...He likes being able to make...ahem...comments...that the young kids don't fully understand if you catch my drift lol He told my brother's girlfriend that he was "saving her for port" when she volunteered to be in the Pirate Tutorial show

You should definitely start WW again! It REALLY helps to keep me mindful of what I'm eating. For example....the Honey BBQ Chicken Supermelt at Friendlys....Yeah....41 points! Just for the sandwich! FORTY ONE! That is more than my entire daily allowance! When something is assigned a point value, and you KNOW how awful it is for you BEFORE you make the decision to eat it, you will really start to feel better about yourself for having the will power to say no. The more you make better choices, the better you feel about yourself and then the more likely you are to stay on a routine. Basically, it's all in our heads and we need to pay WW to run the guilt trip on us! :rotfl2: I go back to the doctor on Tuesday for the recheck on my foot so hopefully it's better and I can get back on my bike!

I had a HORRIBLE cheat day, today! I went WAY over my points and probably killed off my Weekly Allowance points too! Of course we went to West Farms...which means we ate at RFC...which doesn't supply their nutritional information to the public so it's basically impossible to get an accurate points value on any of their food. Then we stopped for ice cream (and not a cup of ice cream...Waffle Cones. And mine was dipped in chocolate and then coated in sprinkles....:rolleyes1), and for dinner, my parents took us to Senor Panchos (although I was still so full from lunch at RFC that I only ate one of the three tacos on my plate. So I guess dinner wasn't too bad...but I just had 4 Keebler Coconut Dream cookies (basically, the Keebler equivalent of the Girl Scout's Samoas) with some milk...that's was 11 points right there! But I haven't had a "bad day" like this since I started WW a month ago and I know I'm not falling off the bandwagon or anything. I just needed a day off!

Oh, and once you stop eating stuff like carbs (for me, again, Garlic Bread is a killer!), you don't even miss it. I see it on menus and don't even think twice about it. Your body gets used to NOT eating garbage and eventually you don't even crave it anymore. It took me about 4 months to get to that point (back in 2007!) and I lost so much weight...and then we went to WDW and that was the end of that!

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:
And you say you don't have good luck with Vinyls! We got Tigger, Donald, and the Mystery one from the Animation set today...and ANOTHER Dopey...I now have THREE of him that need to find a new home...:sad2:

I actually just had a cheat meal. We went to one of our favorite Italian places and I had garlic bread AND pasta AND a couple of alcoholic beverages. I was feeling like I wanted to eat everything bad for me today but I stayed on track for breakfast and lunch. So yay me!

On a more depressing note, I weighed in this evening and I only lost 1.3 pounds. It's frustrating because I thought I made the best choices this week. Funny that today was my "cheat day" too! I'll blame it on the new moon!

Don't get discouraged! 1.3lbs is STILL a loss! I think you did a GREAT job! :thumbsup2 It's true...when you focus on other things, you really DON'T miss the junk at all!

OK, that video of the Queen of Hearts dancing was very weird. :rotfl: I love how they played the Glee version of Thriller/Heads Will Roll. :rotfl:

Dang, you have good luck with vinylmations! I have the Buzz one but I had to buy it off of ebay.

The buzz is very cool! So glad you finally got him.

I would say it was another great party night. Never noticed those cobwebs before.

Loved the queen's dance.

Great firework pics. And both of those pics of you and Brandon are so cute! Sorry you never got to see Jack, but I agree that waiting an hour is a waste of time when there is so much else to do.

Magic Kingdom is the saddest park to say goodbye to, in my opinion. I can't even plan it as my last park of the trip, because that would just be too much. My last Disney day AND my last MK day wrapped into one? No way....:rotfl:

I love the Buzz Vinylmation!!!! He's gotta be one of the best Vinylmations created. :thumbsup2
