One More Question About Transferring Points

Hi everyone.

OK, I have searched and read what I can find about transferring points and I am still confused on my options for what I would like to do.

We have friends who want to take their family on a trip next year. They would need a 2 bedroom and a studio for their group. I was thinking that instead of them renting points, if they could have points transferred into my account, then I could make the reservations, Magic Express, etc. for them. Our use year is June and they want to travel during our June 2013 use year.

If I can find one person to transfer points, then it is pretty straight forward. However, I am thinking that because they will need a fairly large number of points I might have to try to get points from 2 individuals to end up with enough points to make the reservations for our friends. I know for sure that this means using a transfer for multiple use years, but then I get confused on how to make it work.

So, if anyone could give me some guidance on how to do this, I would really appreciate it.

You can only bank transferred points. You can't borrow them. You only get one transfer per use year per membership. You can only transfer between the same use years.

So you'd have to find someone to transfer their 2013 use year points to you while you are still in your 2013 use year. Then you could bank those if necessary to make them valid for the June 2014 vacation.

Then you could get someone to transfer points from their 2014 use year to your 2014 use year, but be sure their points would be good for a June 2014 stay - look for February, March, April or June 2014 use years for this transfer.
