My ADRs have been set since my 180 days with a few minor changes here and there. My college roommate has decided she will be meeting us at the world for the first 2 days of our trip. I haven't seen her in almost 10 years and am very excited for her to meet my kids and to spend time with her . . . BUT . . .We have dinner ressies at Ohana for 4 but with my friend joining us it will be 5. Same for lunch ressies at Mama Melrose.
There are no available ressies anywhere close to the times i have now.

Will it be a problem to just show up as 5? SHould i call to change? Or something else?

Thanks.

Going from 4 to 5 changes the needed table size and could certainly be a problem, especially at Ohana since it's always fully booked.

We were turned away once showing up with extra people so I'd try to change before you go.

You have to call to add a person due to fire codes. They specifically book with these numbers in mind. When you call don't be surprised if the extra person leaves you eating at a different time either. For example I had ohana booked for two at 6:00 and when I added our infant on we couldn't get back in until 9!

You have a couple of problems:

1) Going from 4 to 5 changes the table size.

2) It's Ohana which is easily one of the busiest restaurants at Disney. They often do not take walkups and run behind as it is. In the past there have been stories about them turning extra people away and turning people away who are late for their reservations. They can be very, very strict about things there.

So, what could happen:

1) You are seated no problem.

2) You are taken with the ADR but may have a small wait.

3) You are taken as a walkup and will have a longer wait.

4) You are told they can not accommodate you.

With Ohana, I would NOT risk just walking up and being able to add another person. They are simply too strict and overbooked as it is. Especially when the added person changes the table size. I would do everything I can I actually change the reservation. If you can not do so and still want to try to get the extra person in, have a backup plan in case they say no.

If it was just about any other restaurant I wouldn't be AS worried (though any could say "no can do"). With Ohana... yea.

So excited--- just got off the phone with Wdw reservations and my Dara were both modified to add the extra person. :)

Thanks for the suggestions and info!!!
