One More- Hoop/doop

All right you helpful DISSERS-

Scenario is this..

We will be at MK for the day, then HDDR at 7:15 show. The MK will be closing at 8pm that night. I already know that the boat is the way to go from MK to FW. But...what about the ride back to Pop Century?

What is the best way all around. We will have access to rental car but not sure what is the best transportation to use for this plan. Should we drive from Pop to MK, boat to FW, then how back to our car after the show?

Should we take bus from Pop to Mk for the day, then boat to FW , then how back to Pop after MK is closed??

Help, oh knowledgeable ones!!

Hmmm, I know that the late HDDR show has buses that will take you back to the other resorts. But, I'm not sure about the 7:15 show. So....the show will most likely be out around 8:30-8:45. I would take the boat back to MK and get a bus then. Technically, they run buses from the parks for about 2 hrs. after closing, so you should be fine. I would double check with your bus driver when you get on at POP to MK for the day...trust the bus drivers to have the correct info...only the bus drivers!!!!

Oh - oh -ohh I have the answer to this question !
Drive your car to the guest parking lot at Fort Wilderness. Take one of their bus/tram to the dock area ... essentialy the end of the park. Walk to the dock and a boat will soon pick you up. The boat will go directly to Magic Kingdom POOF! When you are done at park just reverse the process. Boat to Fort Wilderness. Basically right at dock is where you will be going for Hoop - Dee - Doo. After show take their tram again to your car. Drive away back to your own resort .

Is it only buses that run 2 hours late or does the monorail also? I ask only because I have a late reservation at OHana and was planning on taking the monorail back to MK after wishes (about 10 pm) to get on a bus to CSR. I should be okay with catching a monorail/bus right?

We did the 7:15 Hoop-Dee-Doo show and they had busses waiting for us after the show that took us back to Pop. To get to dinnner we took the bus from Pop to MK and took the boat from MK to Fort Wildereness. You'll have a car so you have options. Just wanted to let you know there is a bus option if for some reason you don't want to drive.

That is a great way to go!! Now don't get all confused when you see all he busses at FW, just remember two things...Outpost(anycolor) will get you to your car, Settlement(any color) will get you to Pioneer Hall and the boat docks(a short walk away). The different colors indicate which loops(campsites)the bus will be going by on its way to Settlement or Outpost.
