We are planning on doing Mixology, wine tasting, and margarita tasting (oh my! lol). Do we include gratuity for the crew member leading these events? I didn't see any indication of an 18% auto gratuity so not sure if we need to bring cash or if that is customary.

Thanks in advance, this board has been so helpful. I like planning things in advance and having my cash allocated ahead of time so I can turn my brain off as much as possible for the cruise.

I think it's included, we did the Mixology in the past and I don't recall anything for gratuity after.

Since the prices increased by nearly a factor of two, I have not been given any charge slip to sign, and I was told gratuities were now included in the prices. Pre-Covid, with the lower pricing, I would add gratuity to the provided charge slip for the tasting. Even then, there was no automatic gratuity added to the cost of the tasting, but I usually added the greater of 20% or $5.

we sign up... we show up... we drink up... we stumble out. no tipping even hinted at. no hat left on the counter. no requests to show love. all is good. I won't say just how many tastings in the last three years, but it was statistically significant. :)

the only exception was I had been to three tasting with the same stupendous bartender (two planned, one he invited us too and made room).. and after that he asked me if I wanted a private tasting of single malt whiskies. We sat at the bar and he laid out 4 glasses in front of me. I remember tipping then :)
