One more baby..or Disney??!!

I posted onthe thread earlier. I really want another (making 3) DH doesn't. I'm getting a little more on his side as the days go by. Things are so much easier now that my youngest is 4. She dresses herself, can go to the potty by herself, can get a snack, and occupy herself alone for a little while. Plus, my SIL is 2 1/2 months pregnant, and my DSis just announced she's due
May 22, so I'll get my baby fix after all!!!!

Yes, but cousins close together are a great thing! (I am not helping am I?)

Ahh! I'm more confused than ever:confused: ..still go back and forth every day! Yes...I went through a lot with my triplet prenancy..and PRAY for only one if we were to get pregnant again. Like I said, I've had two miscarriages in the past year and both were singletons..so chances are I can drop only one egg! :) ...but we also found out I have a blood clotting disorder so my next pregnancy would be high risk and I'd have to be on injections every day..ouch! So that does factor in a lot.

I just think a lot more now that we have been so very blessed with three healthy boys that I should not take my chances and just be happy..but I also know God's word and He doesn't want us to think that way...hmm...

**Just and FYI for OP, you can sleep a family of five at POR or ASM suites..you don't need a villa or two rooms..and we love POR! Now a family of six..that's another story! Thanks again for all the responses!

Yep, but we are DVC members. Using points for those rooms are not really cost effective. We enjoy POR too, and when we stay with cash that is one of our favorite places. Of course that is only for 5 people, so if you expand you need to go up a room too. ;) Funny you could keep them all in one womb fine, but as they grow they take up more room!

I guess I should of mentioned we owned DVC when I was considering our room issues if we expand our family. :rolleyes1

We are the same way. I even met a lady on myspace that thinks this way. OK here goes we have 2 boys. The disney packages are for a family of four. Well if we have one more we would h ave to pay more and get a bigger room. I would love a baby but I have type 2 diabetes and have already lost a girl that we wanted so badly so why have heart ache again and just stay with the 2 that we have and have a magical time at Disney World :rolleyes1

I'm just curious why so many people feel that 3 is the right number as opposed to 2 or 4?

Edited to add: Sorry - I just realized that a lot of you are parents of triplets so the decision to have 3 was not "entirely" in your hands.

I didn't have triplets, but had twins and then another. I'm not sure I went in with the notion that three was the perfect number for us, but that is what we ended with. I am one of three and DH is one of four. So far, we don't really have the "odd man out" thing with our kids.

Our twins were IVF after 5 years of treatment and when they were 5 mos old we had a huge surprise pregnancy. Would we have had four? Maybe. I had very bad pregnacies, both twins and singleton (bad singleton pg was a shock to me and OB). The thought of going through another pregnancy like that was too overwhelming for us as a family (and my OB), bedrest, hospitalization, etc. If we had done a fourth child we would have gotten pregnant before the third was 9 mos old or so. I love having them so close. Once our youngest hit about three or so, having another wasn't even a blip on our radar. We were in such a different place and going back to babies, diapers, bottles, etc . wasn't where we wanted to be. Now, that the kids are 8,8 and 7, I can't imagine trying to do all the homework, after school activities, sports, dance etc. with another, but I'm sure that we would have done it with out a problem if we had a fourth. You adjust to what you have.

As a side note: We were in Disney when the twins were three and DS two and we were on a bus going to Blizzard beach. We were sitting across from a family that had 12 children. The oldest was 19 and the youngest was about 9 months old. I was asking her how she did it logistically. It was enough for me to get my three up, packed, dressed, suntan lotioned, etc and on that bus that morning. I will never forget her telling me that our problem was we didn't have enough kids. She said all the older ones helped with the younger ones. It was not convincing enough for me to have 5-7 more kids however.:lmao:

I have two DD's 2 and 4 and had always been on the fence for a third. I really wanted one and DH did NOT!!! As time went on I could see his point. Children are very expensive, I was getting older (37), I was on hospital bed rest for my last, my first was diagnosed w/ cancer when she was 6months old. I could see we had been through a lot to have the two "healthy" children they are now. I finally came to terms with just having two when I needed an emergency surgery that finalized ever having the option anymore. Thank goodness I had come to terms with it before that. It would have been tough. Anyway, I still think of it, but in a different way. I find myself thinking of all the things I can do with the children I do have. I like knowing that I am almost out of the diaper stage. There will be NO surprises!!! Both DD's are best friends and really enjoy being together.

I think big families are great. Both DH and I came from families with four children. We ask ourselves often, "How did our parents do it?":confused3

Oh, and as for another option for large families at WDW...There is always Fort Wilderness. We did this every year when I was growing up. They are the best memories from my childhood.

Good luck with your decision.
