towels.

I know - probably not what you were expecting BUT I have a cunning plan...

I don't want to pay for hiring towels at the water parks but equally I don't want a normal towel taking up loads of precious space in my one piece of luggage that Virgin allow these days (It was two bits on our last trip in 2007).

SO - I am thinking one of those travel / trek towels is in order for the water parks. One of these tyoes things:

Does anyone have any recommendations of which to buy or where to get them from?

We don't do lounging at water parks, hotel provides bath & pool towels, and one of these is going to leave loads of extra room in the suitcase for shopping! :thumbsup2

We just took some hotel pool towels to the waterparks! This meant we didnt have to lug towels in the suitcase or hire them at the waterpark! We drive, so it was no hassle to throw the wet towels in a bag and pop them in the towel return box back at the hotel!

Years ago when we went to the water parks we just bought cheap towels from one of those souvie shops you see on I drive and threw them away when we were done. Granted they were not the best quality but it was hot enough just to need them to take of the excess. That might be another option for you.

I do pack my own beach towel more to use to ID my chair at the pool. Also I don'y find that the ones you get at the pool are large enough.

How about packing some old beach towels that have seen better days - you know we all have some tucked away! :rotfl:

Then at the end of your hols throw them away and have that extra packing space for those "few" bits & bobs you've bought during your stay!!!

We usually use hotel towels, rented odd time, they are only $2(£1.20) per day. Would never take any again, just not worth it to us.

We did the same

Hadn't thought of taking the hotel towels... I still think I'llgo and check out the travel towels. At least on one day we are going from a waterpark to a theme park at disney. We will be on the bus so don't really want to lug any big towel around.

Thanks for the replies though :thumbsup2

try hitting water parks 2 hours before they close...mate they are empty!! we did this 3 times in aug and all the "rides" were walk on!!
tbf, at 6 we were only good to go back to the hotel pool and veg as we all find water pars very tiring, might be diff if only adults!
after hitting parks at r/d and then leaving 2ish, going to TL?BB and then "playing" at parks we were exhausted!
