they are best friends.

On the way from picking up the kids from schools, younger DS did something to DD and I told him that he would be in time-out (which he hates) for what he did to his sister. We walked in the house and DS went to the designated time-out spot. What does DD do? She pulls up a chair next to DS's chair and sits down to keep him company.

I don't get it...

I know what you mean, Rita. Kids can fool you sometimes.

School was dismissed early here today, and my 16 year old daughter drove to the middle school to pick up her 13 year old brother so they could have lunch together before coming home! My husband and I are VERY confused right now, as they normally cannot stand to be in the same room together!

It's not so surprising. Siblings typically unite against a common enemy. ..their parents. ;)

My seven year old son and 3 1/2 year old daughter do this all the time. One minute they look like they are having a cartoon fight, you know with the big dustball with arms and legs coming out all over, and the next minute they will be in his room cuddled up under the same blanket watching a movie. I don't get it, but their relationship seems to work for them. Other times they will get into a yelling match on the way to school, and other times she'll cry when he gets out of the car to go into school. Now my other 3 1/2 year old, he does his own thing and doesn't even try to get into it with either of them.

So true!

:teeth:

What a sweet memory, though, Rita. You will have to write this down in their memory books. :)
