One leftover Child TS...what to do with it?

Will will be on the DDP for our upcoming trip, me, DH and DD (turning 8 at the World!), plus DS (2).

We have made 7 ADR's for table service dining. That should take care of all 7 TS credits for DH and myself. However, DD and DS are NOT coming with us to our 7th reservation at Le Cellier....it's my romantic birthday dinner and we are leaving the kids at the resort with a babysitter.

However, this leaves us with 1 TS credit for a child. Can I order 2 TS child meals at one ADR and give one of the meals to DS? If not, can I use the TS credit for a CS meal? If none of the above, what can I do with this 1 child TS credit? Unfortunately, DD cannot go eat by herself somewhere!:)

Hmmm....Any chance you'd like to do an add'l TS for like a character breakfast? That's a great use of a child TS and not such a great use of an adult TS so paying OOP would be "okay" in terms of getting your money's worth out of the DDP for your family.

Maybe that morning of your planned romantic dinner you could do a TS breakfast for the entire family? I think that'd be fun!!!

You can use your TS for a CS, perhaps at breakfast. They used to let you "hand them in" for lack of a better description at the resort and get a lanyard, which we did a while back.

Otherwise, just grab some food with your TS (used at food court as a CS) and you can have "extra" stuff one day at a park.

Have a great trip! OOPS,. meant to add, I think you would be able to use your extra TS at a meal and then just give to your little one as they take "credits" at end of meal and some kids do eat two meals, you can always ask server, they are usually so accommodating!

Not sure of your resort, but I suggest you just do a TS breakfast. They are reasonable (non-buffet, non-character). Use the TS for your child and the rest pay out of pocket. This is what we plan to do when we go next month and we go to a signature meal. We will pay OOP for the kids and use their TS for them when we have a breakfast at Spoodles, Whispering Canyon, Wave.....We like to go to sit down breakfasts, but never use our credits for them and pay OOP.

I would just let it go if you can't get it as a CS. You really are only leaving $4 on the table, not a big deal. You probably saved that already at another child TS character meal on the trip.

A child on the basic DP is $10.99. If you've used their snack credit $3 and CS meal $4 you have $4 of "expense" you haven't used. Paying OOP for an adult meal is giving WDW more money. It is cheaper to just let the $4 go than to pay OOP for anything an adult would eat at a TS meal.

Thanks for the great suggestions.

Since we already had a character breakfast booked, I decided to pay OOP for DH and I and use DD 1 TS credit for that. Then I made an ADR for Biergarten and DH and I will use our TS credits at that meal, instead of for the breakfast. This would even out all our TS credits so we don't waste any. Plus, I had wanted to add another dinner anyway, since we only had three ADR's for dinners and I knew inlaws wanted to join us at least once. I'd rather pay OOP for a breakfast than a dinner!

Again, color me shocked. We only have about 42 days to our vacation and I was able to get a dinner ADR for Biergarten at the exact time I wanted for 6 people (in-laws decided to join us). I was also able to get 1900 Park Fare for breakfast just a few days ago with no trouble at all.
