Awful crowds. Posted 30 minute wait. One hour. For Dumbo. :guilty: Running one Dumbo. Why???? Ah. Wet paint. Nothing like Easter crowds at a non Easter time.

It's almost 11am - I'm not surprised Fantasyland is a madhouse, even during a "lowish/Spring Break" crowd time! Everyone with small kids has finally managed to roll out of bed, get them dressed, bathed and fed, and now they all want to ride Dumbo.

May I suggest it's time to take a break? Eat something. Watch Philharmagic, or enjoy a ride on the Peoplemover or the train?

Personally, this is exactly why we like to go back to our resort and take a nap after lunch.

We waited an hour and ten minutes. For Dumbo. Definitely not the moderate crowds predicted by many sites. This is worse than Presidents Day week. We did our three fastpasses, got a fourth, and are only doing Hop and CoP. Icky crowds.

So sorry, can you take a break and then hop?

Taking a break on Tom Sawyer's Island right now. The weather is beautiful here in the MK today. Been here since 8am breakfast and the crowds and waits have seemed very managable to me. We've done 10 attractions and the parade so far.

It's amazing how two people in the same park on the same day can have completely different experiences! :)

Guess it depends on what you expect. Lines have been grossly underestimated, too. Got in line for ETWB with posted 20 minute wait. Been in line for 35 minutes and not even into the cottage yet. I think we came with moderate crowd expectations and got heavy crowds. Also trying to please too many people and too many ages.

Soooo jealous! We love to take a break on Tom's Island. Sounds like you're enjoying your day! :)

At one point there was 130 minutes for astro orbiter and only 120 for 7DMT

I think part of it is that my family is quite spoiled with all of the planning I do and no one is used to having to wait in line more than ten minutes for anything. Today, with that Dumbo fiasco, we wasted the best part of the morning.

came home today -- did 3 park days:
Monday: Studios. VERY crowded. Unexpectedly so. Much worse than July 4. I'm going to chalk it up to the fact that half the park is boarded up ... but it was sort of miserable on Monday.
Tuesday: Magic Kingdom. Crowded. Again, more than we expected it would be (like a PP, though crowds would be moderate?) ... but after our day at the Studios, we were not surprised. We left midday & came back around 6pm. Things were much better & continued to improve through parade/wishes time. Managed fast passes well - snagged a last minute mine train FP to ride in the dark, which was fun.
Wednesday: Epcot. Best experience of the 3 parks we visited. Busy, but last night was not nearly as bad as a weekend Food & Wine Festival night. So, we consider that a win. LOL

The weather was PERFECT this week.

I think a big part of the problem is that Disney has slashed staffing and aren't running rides at full capacity (using both sides etc) so the lines build quickly and stay long. They have been longer lately then they were when I was there Christmas week and the crowds were bigger then. Shame on Disney!

So true. I know people avoid Disney at Christmas because of the crowds, but things seem to run so much smoother then because there are so many CM's working.

Did you do any of the F&G booths, if so how was WS in general. We're headed down Saturday for a few days, mainly for F&G nervous now seeing all these crazy crowd post and looooong wait times.

I know some of the cuts are from the recent all over cuts but I wonder if some is they were caught off guard thinking this week being 2 weeks after Easter, would be lighter crowd than it is. I don't think waits were as bad last week with supposedly more people in the parks because they planned for it better. Just guessing really

we did a few ... some were long, like France ... but nothing like Food & Wine. not sure how that will be on the weekend, though.

PS. the shrimp & grits were really good!

It may be both. I saw on Twitter that Primeval Hurl had a wait of 40 minutes this afternoon with only one side open.

Thank you for your sympathy. Guess I shouldn't be complaining. I am at Disney! I was just so hoping this would be a low crowd day since this is probably my mom's last trip ever with us. I hate for her last MK experience to be a bad one. I am glad she was able to come and enjoy the resorts anyway. Those have been really nice.
