One for the compulsive planners!

What does everyone take with them round the parks? I always seem to carry so much I need a sherpa and a team of donkeys to get myself up Main Street. Next time I want to pack a bit more wisely so I don't have the equivalent of a mobile home with me when I go. Any suggestions?

The obvious ones are
Camera
bottled water
sweeties
Cash

I also carry my papers such as passport etc

but what do others carry and how do you minimise your load?

That's it - I think I'd be worried I'd lose my passports if I carried them round the parks all day! In the summer I use a bumbag (as pictures in my lovely avatar), in the winter I use coat pockets or as was the case this year a DLRP bought courier style bag.

wallet
tissues for daughter.

I always go into the park without too much however anything that my daughter has brought ends up in my bag after about 10 minutes!!

I leave my passport and stuff like that locked in suitecase at hotel as i'll be scared of losing it!!

Wow, some of you are amazing!!!! I take as little as possible -

camera + spare memory card + spare battery
purse containing cash + room + park passes
tissues + wet wipes (can't bear dirty hands!!!)
mobile phone (in case we lose each other like on one notable occasion!!!)
sunglasses, if necessary, perched on top of my head

Any shopping gets sent back to the hotel via the shopping service.

I hate carrying stuff round with me. I put it all in a backpack (which admittedly is a pain every time you need to sit down on a ride!!!) then I'm hands free.

Very small bag containing:

Park passes
Room Key
Envelope with that days money plus a little extra for emergencies
Camera + extra memory card (I try each night to check the battery and have a fully charged one)
AP's and shareholders card
On my person
Lanyard with pins and a few extra in my pockets
Gloves hat and jacket in the winter.

Oh, that's right, I forgot to mention: VISA CARD!

I stuff everything in a backpack, which goes on the ride if my mom also goes on the ride, and otherwise stays with my mom if she doesn't want to ride (+/- 95% of the time)
My Minnie-ears are kept on my head, except for coasters.

I also have a small towel with me (guest towel-like) and wet wipes, and Kleenex and spare socks in the winter time (for when my feet get wet after a whole day in the rain)...
Yes, I can survive about 3 months out of that backpack in Disneyland. I still hope I get stuck in there for 3 months!

I have moved from being a be prepared person to a ''we will buy it if we we need it.''


This lead this winter to our buying a pair of socks and putting my daughters feet into these new socks and then into 2 shopping bags which we were given by a CM in a shop.

On each of our previous visits Emily has been in nappies so we've had to take nappies, wipes, nappy sacks on top of everything else. Now she's clean and that's one of the big pluses for us re our next trip - which we think will be in November.

You can't go to Disneyland without the appropriate ears, can you? I can't anyways... I always put them on as soon as I board the Thalys (TGV for tomorrow).

That's what I love about Disney, you can wear all sorts of head attire and it looks really great. Can you imagine walking down the high street at home with Mouse ears on?

I have a shoulder bag in which goes our park passes, room card, credit cards, money, sunglasses/glasses (according to which ones I am wearing), wipes and tissues. DH usually carries a backpack in which can go everyone else's sunglasses, sunhats, Mouse ears, autograph books, bottles of water and according to the weather ponchos/light fleeces. Next summer we are going to get some of those bottle clips that attach to your belt. This trip we used the faithful old backpack to put our hats/gloves/scarves in when we went inside.

We always lock our passports in the inroom safe. If our room did not have one, I would lock them in our suitcase.
