One Family, One Year - An AP finale & June 2010 PTR! - 7/6 TR STARTED!!!

The new plans look great! I could see some mini golf happening on the trip, leaving it open as an option for sure.

Yes, I think so too! We think it would be fun for all of us -- I am not sure if we would catch the movie at the "beach" then, but that could work another night, I really like minature golf, and we thought it would be fun since I am sure the Disney course is really cool!

Happydog, mini golf is something Jill and I have not made it to yet, so we'll be looking forward to your thoughts and pictures. Some of our guys have been, but to tell you the truth, I don't remember which one they said they went to. :upsidedow

Beach Club.
You will never want to come home.

Yes! I am looking forward to it! I want to check it out too, and it solves our "what to do our last night" dilemma!

Oh I am really looking forward to that 1bedroom villa the final five nights!!!

Joining in, super late, but joining(:

Glad to hear it! Welcome -- I have been a bit remiss, but am back to my updates this weekend!!! :thumbsup2

Okay, everyone, I have been terribly remiss with my PTR!!! I have been up to my ears this May with school stuff, it is always a hectic time for me. BUT I am really going to update this weekend, TONIGHT, I have lots to share! I have been doing things behind the scenes, but have not had time to get the pics loaded, etc. I had to chaperone the prom last night... so I am a little slow today! Doing this and that at the house, but will be ready to DIS tonight! :thumbsup2

THIRTY FIVE DAYS UNTIL OUR TRIP!!!!!! OH MY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :yay: :yay: :yay:

Hope to see you then! :goodvibes

:cool1::cool1: WOOT!! Yay for an update!!!!! YAY for 35 days!!!! Very excited WOOT!!:cool1::cool1:

Only 35 days??? Wow! That's going to just fly by!!! Looking forward to reading about what you have been doing behind-the-scenes!

Oh, and I agree about the decorating of the SW cookies -- I would do much better with just pancakes.

So I realize that I have been very remiss in my updates, but it has been a busy month for me. There are three times during the year when things are crazy, and this is the final stretch! But I have been making trip plans all along, and finally have been able to get some photos to share... SOOOOOOOOOOO on with the update!!

First, Trip Shirts! :thumbsup2

I made two sets of shirts for my guys.

The first is the Monorail (they love the monorail so I thought they would enjoy having one roar across their chests!) I bought the blue ringer Tshirts for them at JiffyTees. The DISigner is “ShellsShirts” She had them premade in different colors. I was thinking about a new Epcot Tshirt, but went ahead and chose this DISign instead. They will wear it to Epcot one day, I know they will like them.

The blue matches nicely, and the phrase is repeated in Spanish at the bottom, which made me laugh! Multi-lingual here -- too bad it isn't in Italian! We didn't try too hard the last trip in February to find a new "monorail pin" My DS7 really likes the monorail pins, and the three he has he was able to get with trading. So I may just go on Ebay and score a few that way, and I may get another lot of 10 pins to trade this summer, since they like to. We'll see. :scratchin

The second one is Star Wars, it is their name. I have not been purposefully witholding their names, having not posted them on the DIS in the past, but you can't really see the shirt otherwise! So here they are.

These are kinda dorky, but the name fill is fun, and I liked the look of them. I bought grey shirts to put the transfer on. I should have bought a larger size perhaps, for DS4, the xsmall is “smaller” than other styles, but it should be okay for the trip! The DISigner is “DOM13” We are going to try and sign both boys up for the Jedi Training Camp this time, even though DS7 did it this past fall. I know both brothers would have fun doing it together, and since now they sign you up for the event in advance, it is fair for everyone, and I don’t feel guilty that he would possibly be picked over another kid who hasn’t had a chance yet.

I am putting together outfits and packing plans for the trip, because I have to do this much earlier.

Remember I am leaving town on the 15th for business, five days before my DH and the boys take the Autotrain to Disney! :scared1:

So everyone needs to be packed by the 14th… AND I have a birthday party for DS7 to be 8! On the 12th…. My inlaws will be in town that weekend as a result. My DS4's Montessori School has their end of the year celebration on Sunday the 13th... THEN, DS4’s Montessori will be out of session that final week June 14 – 18, so my DMIL will stay on that week to care for him, while I am out of town and my DH wraps things up at school, and DS7 finishes his final two days as well. :faint:

Did you get all that??!!

Well I can't complain, THIRTY FIVE, NO, FOUR Days until DISNEY makes me smile even if I am stuffed up and feeling under the weather today ... I thought this was allergies.. Not so sure now. Didn't help that I was up until 2:30 am on Friday, for the prom, etc... Yesterday I slept for several hours, and was taking cold meds all day and night! Still feel in a fog, but I got my coffee, and the boys are going to the Air Show today, so I will get my house in order and do some shopping in peace and quiet! :thumbsup2

IN other trip news...

So I think we have decided to announce our trip to the boys over Memorial Day Weekend. I am still trying to figure out the "announcement" bit, but I do then plan to have
Three Disney Weekends.
So three Sundays. We are going with:

A BUGS LIFE
STARWARS
and
PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN

Don't ask me what I am going to do with food, yet, but this is the plan!!

Well I have several TRs and PTRs to catch up on! So I am going to be back in a bit after I do that! More coming up! :teeth:

I :lovestruc the monorail design! That is so cute. I might have to check them out and make some tees. :rolleyes1

Okay, for A Bugs Life you can make those celery peanut butter things with raisins on top for ants on a log. That's all I've got. Star Wars, I have no idea. Pirates....hmmmm....somehow rum just doesn't seem appropriate. :rotfl2:

I hope you can get some rest today so you feel better! :goodvibes

I LOVE those shirts, especially the monorail one!! HOW CUTE!!

WOW you are busy busy!!! I think all of us in the education field get that way near the end of the year, just everything starts piling up as we have to start wrapping up the year!!!! ALthough you do have a good plan in place!!!!

Love the theme weekends! Going to have a blast with those!!!!

Hope you get to feeling better!!!

All the shirts are awesome! I'd love to have some of the monorail ones for us, even our grown-ups. I'm not a Star Wars person, but those name ones are very cool. I don't think they're dorky at all! The boys will love them. Griffin was one of the name choices I had for Drew twenty-one years ago, and I still like it today. :)

You have some very busy days ahead. I hope you have some moments to relax among all the preparation.

I brought some kind of cold back with me from Disney World last week - a persistent cough, which is still hanging on, a fever which lasted a couple of days, and a serious headache, which thankfully just lasted two days also. I hope you get better quickly so that you can be ready to tackle all of this getting ready.

It's great that your MIL can help you out with kidcare. :)

Have fun with your Disney Sundays! :dance3:

I  your shirts! That monorail one made me crack up! We just got a new van with the auto doors and we say that when the doors close!!:lmao:

I made Ben a Star Wars one like that last summer. So, if it's dorky, we're all dorky together!

What brand of transfer did you use? Last year I made a bunch of shirts for everyone so I ordered a big pack from a DISer. This year I was thinking of making only one or two so I'm wondering what's a good brand.

Enjoy your quiet time today and I hope you are feeling better!:goodvibes

You do the best T-shirts!
Sorry you are feeling under the weather...
I'm right there with you, feeling crummy too. I have to get out and do a bit of shopping today in the rainy weather then I'm going to curl up on the sofa and try to sleep....
and DIS.

Feel better HD!

Hope you feel better soon, HD!

The shirts are just awesome -- I really love both designs!!! I agree with Wigd, you always come up with the best ones!

I hear you about the craziness at school right now -- with only five days to go, I am feeling a bit frazzled. Between packing up my room (I have to move classrooms for next year), giving final exams, grading said final exams, and trying to keep hyper middle schoolers in line, I am going to need a drink my Friday!

:cool1::cool1: WOOT!! Yay for an update!!!!! YAY for 35 days!!!! Very excited WOOT!!:cool1::cool1:

I know!!! YAY is right! Lots to do though! :rotfl: But not as much as you, so I shouldn't complain!!!! You are going to be one busy lady the next few months!

35 days!! :woohoo::banana::woohoo::banana::woohoo:

THANK YOU for the dancing bananas!!!

Yippee!!! :thumbsup2

Only 35 days??? Wow! That's going to just fly by!!! Looking forward to reading about what you have been doing behind-the-scenes!

Oh, and I agree about the decorating of the SW cookies -- I would do much better with just pancakes.

I really like the cookie cutters! I am worried I'd make a mess of them!!!

Yes those 35 days will fly. Good grief! Hope to get all caught up on my updates this week.

I :lovestruc the monorail design! That is so cute. I might have to check them out and make some tees. :rolleyes1

AH yes the ubiquitous "ants on a log" I remember eating those!
Except neither boy likes the "ants" -- but maybe chocolate covered ones... hmmm... No, RUM is probably not appropriate for them, but the mom and dad pirates, just maybe... :rotfl:

I love the monorail too! It is really cute -- lots of colors so easy to pick for everyone! :thumbsup2

Yes, you know what I am talking about, May really is a busy time for teachers!

I like the Monorail T, too... just have to find a couple monorail pins I think. ;)
I am looking forward to the Theme nights, too, should be fun :goodvibes I have seen some great inspiration on the Disney nights thread!

Thanks, MeMom! Isn't that Tee a fun one? Yeah, the name fills will be a big hit with the guys, I am sure. And yes, he is my very own Mythological Beast. ;) When we have been in Italy, there are Griffins all over the architecture, etc. (the Romans were very fond of them apparently!!) So he always loves to point them out!

You have some very busy days ahead. I hope you have some moments to relax among all the preparation.

Yes, there is a lot in the next two weeks. Then it will be Memorial day, and things will relax from there -- at least at work, b/c all the big events will be over. I am looking forward to that holiday weekend to catch up!

I don't know what bug I got. It is sinus and sore throat, I HATE that nasal drip stuff, just the WORST. hope it will go away. :sad2:

Yes, my MIL is a keeper. So glad she can come up. She is always a big help. My parents live in Oregon, so fortunately she is only a few hours away!

I am looking forward to Disney Sundays :goodvibes

Thanks! The shirts are fun. We always laugh at the Monorail -- reminds us of "Mind the Gap" in London!

Oh I love being Dorky. I just don't know how long my boys will let me dress them in matching shirts

I just buy the Avery transfers at Staples. Nothing special, they seem to work just fine. I get the type for 100% cotton. I buy my shirts at JiffyTees online. They seem to work, I am happy with them.

Yes, I am going to go take a nap now. Boys are back, but are now playing Wii. gives me an hour to close my eyes!

You do the best T-shirts!
Sorry you are feeling under the weather...
I'm right there with you, feeling crummy too. I have to get out and do a bit of shopping today in the rainy weather then I'm going to curl up on the sofa and try to sleep....
and DIS.

Feel better HD!

Thanks WigD!! :goodvibes Yeah, feeling crummy is no fun! Rainy day, huh? That must be the rain we are expecting. Today is beautiful. 70s and just partially cloudy.. sunny mix.

Sleep and DIS or DOZE! :thumbsup2

Hope you feel better soon, HD!

The shirts are just awesome -- I really love both designs!!! I agree with Wigd, you always come up with the best ones!

Thanks CP! I like making them, it is fun to do, and they like to wear them!

I hear you about the craziness at school right now -- with only five days to go, I am feeling a bit frazzled. Between packing up my room (I have to move classrooms for next year), giving final exams, grading said final exams, and trying to keep hyper middle schoolers in line, I am going to need a drink by Friday!

Oh yes, you have the final few days! Well there is a light at the end of the tunnel (or a stiff drink!) so it isn't so bad! I can't believe you are already going to be done with school!!! WOW!!! well, good luck these final few days yourself! Moving classrooms, grading, ugh!

Sounds good to me......but I guess you really can't serve that to the little guys :confused3

Love the shirts, you always find the cutest designs!

No, that probably wouldn't be considered good parenting.

Thanks! I like them too -- I think they will get worn!

The shirts are great.
34 days will fly by, especially since you have a lot going on.
Where do you sign up for Jedi Training Camp? I may have to do this with my nephew.

Feel better :goodvibes

OMG... 34 days? Where does time go? You will have such a terrific time. Love all the shirts. Too cute. Love your theme nights too. Wish I had some fun suggestions but I'm just not creative like that. :sad2: But if you post what you're having maybe I'll live along vicariously with you. You can be sure I'll indulge in some rum in your honor on POC night! ;)

Hope you're feeling better soon!! :)
