Is this possible?

i recently went to universal in Los angeles and loved the express pass. we did all of the rides there. So in this case, should i get the express pass and do the two parks in one day and avoid the rides that are the same from universal in LA?
Will this work?

I would be going in last week of April, on a weekday.

Also another question, Do they have a backlot tour at US in Orlando? or just LA?

Thanks!

no backlot tour at orlando.

end of april should be a decent time for lower crowds.

be at the park once it opens to the public and see how the crowds are before you decide to buy the ep.

check out the rides that are in the parks at www.universalorlando.com to decide which of the rides/shows in the parks are a "don't miss" for you.

i wouldn't buy it in advance as it is nonrefundable.
if you find the line waits are not long, you won't be needing the express pass.
you could probably get all the highlights in both parks done but could miss out on other things in the parks.
shows, parade, etc.

FJ and Gringotts/potter rides do not have express lines.

there are a few rides that do have a single rider line.
take advantage of that and you will save time on the line waits.
