I know John has said he thinks Disney should do away with one day tickets and I totally understand Disney's ticket plan of making them cheaper the more days you come to the parks, but strangely I've had three different people ask me about them in a week and it makes me sort of wonder if it is such a smart plan now.
A co-worker is going with her husband to a conference outside of Orlando, they really only have time for one free day and wanted to go to Disney. I told them the tickets are $80 each for one day and they said forget it.
My sister is going with her DH and my two nieces on a beach trip to Florida
mid-May and wanted to drive to Disney (2 hours) to go to Epcot one day to see the Flower & Garden Festival. $360 for them to get in the door, they said forget it. She also looked into Busch Garderns (an hour away) and their one day tickets are $75 each, she said forget that too.
The receptionist at my doctor's office is going to visit a girlfriend in Florida, she just wanted to go to Animal Kingdom because the friend has to work one of the days she is there and she's never seen it, she really said forget it when I told her $80 and they close at 5pm.
So that is seven people that just won't go at all. Especially now, maybe it wouldn't be such a bad idea to think about a one day discount, maybe 1/2 day tickets after a certain time or a lower cost for AK, something that is open shorter hours or a discount on Tuesdays. No? Maybe? I'm crazy?
