Does anyone know if we bought a one day ticket with water park add on if once we use the add on portion will our ticket go into expiring in 14 days if we dont use it to enter the regular parks?

Yes. The ticket will expire 14 days from date of first use. If your first use is a Sunday, the ticekt will expire at Midnight on the second Saturday following. And it does not matter where it is used first; any Disney Park turnstile (Including any of the WPF&M Parks).

Thanks. Here is my dilemma. WE have 4 10 day base disney tickets and than 4 more tickets that will be one day base with water parks and more add on. What should we do to getthe most out of our trip and tickets. I kind of went crazy and we are going the 18th to 26th of september and also have 4 one day tickets to the MNSSHP. Sounds liek ticket overkill but we had to buy the one day tickets and than I started thinking the kids would want the waterparks in the heat.

If you haven't yet used the ten-day tickets, take the WP option OFF the one-day tickets. When you get to Disney, upgrade the ten-day tickets to add the WP option - currently $50 plus tax per person, but you'll get ten WP options for the same price you were paying for two.

Hold the one-day tickets for some future time.

Also, it might be worth it to add the no expiration option to these tickets. Then you can use the WP tix that go unused on a future trip (and park tickets too, if you have any left.)

You may have to take the water park off of the one days to do this, but maybe when you get there you can upgrade those one days to water park/Disney Quest annual passes.
It would only be a few $ more then the one day with the water park, and they would be good for the year and include DQ.

Thanks for all the ideas. Does anyone know if it is the same price to add the water park option to a 10 day ticket as it is to add it to the one day ticket?

It does not matter if one day or ten days, the cost is $50 plus tax for WPF&M.

And you would need a convoluted procedure which will scare a lot of ticket people. The first thing would be to downgrade the one-day, one-park, with WPF&M ticket(s) to one-day, one-park, without WPF&M and credit the difference to Cash. On the next transaction it would involve adding the WPF&M option to the ten day tickets, using the Cash from the prior transaction. There might be a 1¢ difference due to computing tax, but that is not significant.

And if the ten day tickets had been purchased at a price less than the current gate price the CM would have to bridge the price on the ten day tickets to the current gate price first.
