Just a question about the one day passes that are issued with the dining plan.. My kids and I have hoppers from the last trip but I have two less days than theirs. Just wondering if I could use there one day passes to make up the days I need instead of adding days to my hopper to save some money. Has anyone tried this ??????

My understanding is that the one day passes you need to buy as part of the free dining package are issued in the name of each person on the reservation. We are in a similar situation but plan to save the one day passes for a future trip.

The one day passes will be coded on the room key, which will have each persons name on them. So, in theory the person whose name on it should be the only ones who can use those days. However, no one checks the names when you put the room key into the ticket machine at the park. As long as there is only a one day pass on each ticket, no one can know who has used the pass to enter the park. It will be coded with your finger scan, so the first person to use it, is the only person who can use it, but if it is only a one day pass, no one else will ever need to use it to enter a park. When it is used for the dining plan, the finger scan is not used.

Thanks for the info, Brentalex. I was hoping they would work that way. Good news......

you are welcome, but BirdsofPreyDave asks a very good question. If the tickets are childs tickets, then only a child can use them. That will show up at the gate, if an adult uses a childs ticket

The best bargain, although not necessarily the least number of dollars shelled out right away, is probably had if you expand one of the one-day's (just after check in) to cover your vacation and set aside the insufficient old hopper for a future date.

Unless something is printed to the contrary, unused tickets are transferable, so you can use up the one-days to cover non-hopping days after other tickets run out.

The partly used old hopper cannot itself be expanded if it was printed before 2005 or was used more than 13 days ago.
