Hey ya'll! We're planning a one day blitz tomorrow for AK, Epcot and HS. We're trying to figure out which park we want to end up at.

My tentative plan is to take the resort bus from ASMu to AK, than take the bus to Boardwalk and walk over to Epcot, then take the boat to Hollywood Studios. Is that too much travel time? Would we be better going back to the resort and getting a direct bus? Or can you get a bus to the parks from other parks?

We're planning on hitting only the big attractions. Maybe drinking around the world in Epcot. I know Epcot has EMH tomorrow night, but I don't know if I'd rather see Illuminations or the 10:30 showing of Fantasmic!

I haven't seen Illuminations in at least 15 years. Is it still the same show?

*As a side note, we're spending the entire day Saturday at MK, which is why it's not included in this park blitz.

You can get a bus from the parks to the other parks. Unless you want to ride to Boardwalk and walk, you can get a direct bus to Epcot from AK.

1. Okay.
2. Just take the bus directly to Epcot.
3. Okay.
4. I guess it depends on how you define "too much."
5. Definitely not.
6. Yes.

There is "direct" transportation between all the WDW theme parks.

The frequency of departure for each is approximately every 20 minutes, give or take, all day long.

Most routes are via Disney Buses.

Here are the "park-to-park" Disney Transportation direct connections:

MK> Epcot = Monorail to TTC, Switch to 2nd Monorail to Epcot

MK> DHS = Direct Bus

MK> AK= Direct Bus

AK> DHS= Direct Bus

AK> Epcot= Direct Bus

AK> MK= Direct Bus

DHS> MK= Direct Bus

DHS> AK= Direct Bus

DHS> Epcot= Direct Bus (Epcot Front Gate) or Boat (Epcot Intl. Gateway)

......Boats ("Friendships") make 3 interim stops at the Epcot area resorts.

Epcot > AK= Direct Bus

Epcot> DHS= Direct Bus (Epcot Front Gate) or Boat (Epcot Intl. Gateway)

......Boats ("Friendships") make 3 interim stops at the Epcot area resorts.

The buses have their destinations shown on them on illuminated signs.

The bus stops at the parks are also marked with signage.

As a rule-of-thumb, allow 40-60 minutes to get from the gates of one park to the gates of another park.

Awesome, thank you for posting this!
We've only gone park to park via the monorail or the boat, but the boat took FOREVER, so I was really trying to avoid that this time around.

Which boat? The one between Epcot and DHS?

The Friendship boat between Epcot's International Gateway and DHS, including the 3 interim resort stops.

That's the only boat that runs between theme parks.

The Friendship boat between Epcot's International Gateway and DHS takes 25-30 minutes, including the 3 interim resort stops.

When we took it in December from HS to Epcot, with the stops at the other hotels... it was at least an hour. I don't know if there were problems boarding passengers or what. But it was no where near 25-30 minutes.

Don't expect that to be the case the next time you ride it.

That's definitely an aberration. I've never heard of it taking even close to that long. The chances of that ever happening again are slim to none.

If you really want to avoid it, you can walk between Epcot and DHS

Yup.

If DHS has a posted close time of 10pm, do they still do the 10:30 Fantasmic! show? I guess they're giving people time to get into the theater and get seated?

What date, please?
If there is a posted 10:30PM Fantasmic! then, yes.
(There is not always a 10:30PM Fantasmic!)

She said "tomorrow" so 8/13...

Thanks!
(Just to be clear, "tomorrow" is 8/14.)

Yes, it is not at all unusual to offer a Fantasmic! start-time 30 minutes after the posted DHS "closing time."
Most guests who want to see that show will already be in (or heading into) the theater by that time, anyway.
