One day one park ticket

Can you buy a one day ticket at a Disney resort to avoid lines at Guest Relations at the parks? If not, how early should we plan to arrive at MK on an Early Entry day to get our tickets and still be able to take advantage of the full hour?

I'm pretty sure that you can purchase ANY kind of admission at the front desk except an annual pass.

Yes you can. Both the front desk and Guest Services at the resorts sell them.
