Need some advice on the best transportation options for our 1 night stay at Wilderness Lodge post cruise. Trying to maximize our 1 day at the parks! We will have a rental car to drive from the port to WDW. My daughter and I will be going to MK for the day on Saturday while my husband and son have park hoppers and will go to Epcot until they meet us at MK in the evening. Pretty sure it makes sense for my daughter and I to take the boat from Wilderness Lodge (after we've checked in) to MK. But, what is the quickest transportation for my DH and DS? Should they drive the rental car to Epcot, drive it back to the hotel later and take the boat to MK? Or, should they go with us to MK and take the monorail to Epcot and back to MK later? Or is it fastest for them to take a bus to Epcot and monorail back to MK in the evening? Thanks for any advice!

You and your dd would take the boat. Your dh should drive to Epcot, then he ha two options for MK. He could drive to the TTC, ad then they could monorail or boat to the MK. Or drive back to WL, and then take the boat over to MK. I would go back to WL and boat to MK.

Thanks. That's what I was thinking but wanted someone to confirm. :) A few more questions though....we have never had a rental car while on property (always used Disney transportation). How is the parking at Epcot? Is the parking lot huge and they'll have to walk a long distance to get to the park? Are there trams in the parking lot? Is it difficult navigating the roads to Epcot from Wilderness Lodge? DH is NOT a Disney fan (I know, I can't believe it either!). So, I like to make it as easy and straight forward as possible.

Epcot has a large parking lot and depending on time of day, season, etc. you can be parking a long way away from the entrance. There are trams but they don't run all the time. If it's not busy, no trams.

It's really easy to get to EPCOT from WL. Cross World Dr at the lights at the entrance of WL onto Seven Seas Dr and turn left at the end, back onto World Dr. Exit onto Epcot Center Dr and then enter the park. All told, it's less than 10 minutes.
