One Day at Universal...what would you do?

We are headed to Disney in early December and are planning a one day outing to Universal. DS will be 5 and a half and is crazy for Jurassic Park and Marvel (but we know he's not big enough for most of the rides

We're thinking of just sticking to the Islands of Adventure so we don't wear him out, but want to make the trip worthwhile. Any suggestions?

Since he loves Jurassic Park and Marvel I would go with IOA. Even if he can't ride the ride there's Camp Jurassic Park (which looks really cool - we didn't have enough time to explore it) and the whole Marvel Comic theme over in the Spiderman area. We found lots of characters out and about so even if he can't ride the rides he can meet and have his photo taken with the characters.
