One day at MK where would you eat?

Party of 4 with 2 kids ages 10 and 12

We are thinking of making a 1 day stop at Magic Kingdom on the way home from our cruise next October.

Just curious where you would suggest eating to get the most out of our experience?

Based on my kids at that age, where to eat would be the last thing on their agenda. A quick bite from a counter service establishment while racing from one attraction to the next should do the trick.

I agree. I might do Be Our Guest lunch, which is quick service or Casey's. I probably wouldn't do a table service meal.

BOG for Lunch
Columbia Harbor House for Dinner.

Both have decent food with fantastic ambiance.

With one day I would not waist my time with a sit down.

I agree with everyone - quick service is the way to go! You need an ADR for Be our Guest even though it is a quick serve restaurant . So I would stick with Columbia Harbor House and Cosmic Rays or Pecos Bills. Eat lunch when you get there. You will be hungry- breakfast is early on departure day.

There are only a few good restaurants in MK to eat at. CHH is our fave, BOG or LTT are second choices and then we often go to one of the nearby resorts for lunch. It makes a great break.

If you want to do a table service, I actually really like the new Skipper Canteen. I agree with everyone else though. With only 1 day, I'd do quick service. Columbia Harbor House and Casey's are my 2 favorites along with Sleepy Hollow for a "breakfast/snack" (gotta love that fresh fruit nutella waffle!).

For the last three trips I have had really good luck getting lunch ADRs for BOG a day or two before our scheduled days in MK. My advice would be to keep checking the Disney app for an opening, and if that doesn't work out get a bite to eat at Pinnochio's (yummy flatbread and Fantasyland atmosphere) or Cosmic Rays (variety).

Ohana at the poly would get my dinner ADR! Assuming you are at MK all day, nice to take the dinner break off the monarail then head back to the park after dinner.
Good atmosphere ... Good food!

Thank you all for your suggestions! I really was leaning to doing quick service but I didn't want to miss the "must do or eat thing" lol. We will get enough nice sit down meals on the ship so I'm sure we will be fine with something quick to get us back out in the park. Thanks!!
