One day at mk during emh and not a resort guest

okay so we have only one day may 27th at mk. We were hoping for the 24 hour event but that looks like it's not happening. So anyways it's a day of emh and I'm worried about the crowds bc of that. We typically avoid kingdoms of emh bc we stay offsite. So a couple of questions.
1. Can we get into mk and not ride rides that day or do we have to wait till 9?
2. I thought about booking one night at the campsites to be able to get in early but it says I can only get a 2 day ticket is this right? Or could I book one night and link tickets?

You could try and get a pre-park opening ADR around 8:00, and then you'd be already in the park to start rides at 9 when it opens to offsite guests. A lot of people do BOG since it is near 7DMT and it is CS so you can done quickly. You will be a little behind because of EMH, but only Fantasyland and Tomorrowland are open during that time, so those may already have some lines, but they shouldn't be crazy yet. If you do come in at 9, you could head to one of the other lands since they will be just opening. You can book a 1 night room only reservation, and should be able to get whatever ticket you want linked. Not sure about the campsites - don't know if they are different. I would try POP or All Stars as the cheapest, unless you have a bigger family.
If you do book a room and ticket, you could start making FP now, so you could try and get your three fave rides reserved. Since onsite guests can do it at 60 days, you may not be able to get some of them(7DMT, A&E Meet) but can have 3 to start with, and later in your park day can get a fourth after you have used those three. If you don't want to get a room, if you have your ticket/buy it now, you can link it to your MDE account and make FP at 30 days. So even if you just get in at RD, you can head to a ride you don't have a FP for where lines are not too long yet, and from there do the things that are shorter, and your 3 FP(maybe 4), and I think you can still get a lot done. Since you are experienced with navigating the park and knowing what you want to do, I think you can still have a great day with those plans!

Thank you so much! Your reply made me feel better about trying to accomplish this lol! I may try to do a adr at bog to be a little ahead of some if I'm able to get them!

Your welcome! If there aren't any open, keep trying as people cancel all the time, even up to the night before, and check the May cancellation thread on here(in the Dining Forum under Reservations), where people post what they are cancelling, and you can PM them to try and coordinate to pick up theirs. You can't ask for what you want, but can watch for people changing their ADRs. I would also try to link tickets before your 30 day window to get the best FPs and times you can. Good luck!
