One Concierge Stateroom or Two Regular Verandah Staterooms

I am facing a new dilemma. We are four adults: me, DH, DS (21), and DD (19). I was going to book two verandah staterooms for our 2027 European Cruise, but the cost of one concierge verandah stateroom is not THAT much more. We have never done concierge and would really love to try it. I know it would be tough to fit four adults in one stateroom, but we honestly aren't in the room that much. If YOU had to choose, what would you do?

IMO, 2 verandah much - MUCH wiser booking.

p.s. - 2 separate bathrooms would be a priority for us and the 1 BR Dream Concierge we've had would suffice but just a regular verandah = nope

With those options, I would go with 2 rooms, to get 4 sinks and enough drawer and closet space for everyone. Sailing concierge will get you lounge access, but I have never gone hungry or thirsty on a cruise even without concierge.

If the cost of a 1-bedroom suite were comparable to 2 veranda rooms, I'd consider that, because it does have a lot more space but the way prices for 1-bedrooms have gone up, it is harder to justify.

My family has sailed with 4 adults in a single category 4 (Deluxe Family Veranda) room, and we managed, so if you think your family would fit in one room, another option is to stay in one room and use the extra money for adult dining, private excursions, and other treats.

Yeah the 1-Bedroom would be perfect, but that would eat up our budget for the extra stuff you mentioned. Our room budget would give us two non-concierge rooms or one concierge room. I would love to try concierge, and I know we could all fit in one room (we just are barely in it), but "getting ready" times and storage would be tight.

Unless you’re doing something like the EBTA (I assume not) then on a Europe cruise there aren’t that many sea days to enjoy the amenity concierge offers. On the cruise I’ve booked for 2026 and 2027 port times run past the first dinner seating. There aren’t that many sea days vs port days. And I’d prefer the storage/bathroom situation with having two rooms.

We used to book concierge, but as our children got older we switched to two verandah rooms. With the money savings, we create our own "concierge" experiences by investing that money into events or splurges. We are platinum, so we don't need their assistance booking things, we really only give up the lounge and possibility of a cabana.
