One Bedroom at BCV or BWV?

Enjoy!!! We're also going in Oct, and had to make this decision. We own at BWV, and love staying there, and stay often in the 1 bedroom. I have been wanting to try BCV for awhile, and were going to this summer, before that got cancelled. A few weeks ago, we found availability at BCV, so we switched. I am hoping to love it as much as BCW, and really hoping to enjoy SAB pool, that everyone raves about. hope to get lots of pool time in. We always walk to Epcot/HS from BWV< Hope the trek from BCV to HS is not too much farther. We always drive, and yes, the parking lot is kind of a pain at BWV, but I guess we've gotten used to it. We've also gotten used to the long hallways, so that doesn't bother us....but I do remember dragging stuff up the stairs when kids were little....that was kind of a pain. Hope y'all have a great trip and love BCV! will have to compare notes on our first stays.

I hope you come back and report how you feel about BC after staying there. I would like to hear how you feel BC compares to BW. It always makes me laugh when people mention the long halls at BW. Yes the halls are long but where in WDW don't you have a long walk? Also when accessing the boat from BCV it's a very long walk so either you may or may not have a long hall to walk at BW and a very short walk to boat OR you have pretty short walk to exit BCV and a very long walk to boat. Seems pretty much the same to me...just sayin...

The corridors seem endless when all you can see is doors, doors and more doors. When you have two elevator banks towards different areas, you don't have to look at quite so many doors. When you have windows to the outside, it doesn't seem so endless (Kidani comes to mind). But at BWV, it's just doors and turns. You need to drop breadcrumbs to find your way back to the elevator.

At BCV it's almost shorter to walk to the Epcot boat dock and catch the boat to DHS rather than walk to the YC boat dock and catch it there. And it's not too far to catch the Skyliner from BCV (further from BWV).

I guess we all have our own personal opinions about the long halls and doors although there are also windows in those halls at the BW and not all rooms are that far from the elevators. I have been pretty lucky in that regard the last few stays. I have stayed at the actual BC resort and the halls are just as long as at the BW and again the walk to the BC/YC boat dock is much longer from BC/BCV than it is for the BW to boat dock...just sayin.

I agree it's probably closer to walk to Epcot and catch the boat to HS than it is to walk to their actual boat dock. I also agree that the Skyliner is much closer to the BC than BWV which was my point many months ago when Disney was directing the traffic due to Skyliner being down to the BW to get the bus rather then to the BC which is closer, more handicap accessible and has a larger bus stop...again just stating the obvious.

I guess I should be glad people think the hallways are too long at the BW, it makes it easier for me to book what I want. Thanks for pushing the narrative! :cutie:

We like the balconies better at beach club than at BWV. The rooms at BCV also seem a bit cleaner.

??? Really??? Since I don't stay at BC I can't really comment on this but really? The rooms at BW have always been clean when we have stayed there.

Since I have only stayed at BC twice I don't really remember the balconies, are you talking about the size of them or the views? I do know that views from the BW rooms on average are much better than the rooms at BC. You have the boardwalk view, views of the lake, YC/BC, Epcot and space ship earth, the views can't be beat. Standard view, low point cost and can have some pretty good views, example, balloon at DS, fireworks and Skyliner, not bad for standard view and low point cost. Pool/garden view, only did this one once, nice view of main pool area.

BC view was a lot of trees and the back side of Epcot, nothing much to talk about or parking lot.

We have stayed at BWV 4x now and BCV 1x. All one bedrooms. The balcony at BCV was bigger and we are balcony people! We did also happen to have a great view, but that was just luck. The BCV room was also pristine. The entire resort had an amazing smell that made it feel even cleaner. The BWV rooms we have experienced were also clean... but not as squeaky clean. Not a big deal. And I do not remember a scent in the resort at all.

To add... BWV does not have enough indoor public space IMO. That doesn’t mean we do not like BWV, but I do find BCV more relaxing, less crowded. BCV has a slightly more upmarket feel, where BWV feels a bit more... maybe urban? I mean that in a good way. We really do like BWV, but BCV is just more pristine IMO. Dh was very impressive by BCV. And much prefers it to BWV. I like both.

Ha, funny, my DH is the exact opposite. He pretty much only wants to stay at BW, he really likes it there. We have stayed at GF/GFV, Poly (actual resort), BLT and Contemporary, WL, BC and my DH always says he would rather be at BW. I don't mind trying other resorts but I do really like BW so I guess it's a matter of "to each his own". I guess that's why we have so many choices, there is sure to be something that will please each of us.
