Just wanted to say hi. My family is doing okay so far. my brother is going to cook thanksgiving dinner for the first time ever so we will spend thanksgiving at my dad's house with him and my step-mom, stepsister, and niece. Unfortunately my dad will probably still be in the hospital. I probably won't make it back before than so I hope that everyone has a great thanksgiving week.

Gail, how was Billy's eye appointment?

Thanks for asking! Billy has a problem behind his right eye (the tissue membrane has fluid in it) besides the cataract. That would mean another operation on the eye and the doctor doesn't want to operate to fix it. So Billy got a prescription for glasses and goes back to see the doctor in 6 months. One answer to prayer is that the vision in the center of that eye has cleared up. Things just still looks fuzzy or wavy from that eye. The left eye has perfect vision. Thanks for praying for him!

Glad there had been some clearing of vision, hope the glasses help and Billy's vision is stable

Where is everybody?
Lots of lurkers lately. Thanks for posting. I was going to post a September update; however, I know many are still waiting on responses.
Judy, hope you are just busy trying to get all of your appointments in for the week.
It has been an insane week, all of the MD/therapy offices are closed Thursday and most are Friday, so I have to get things crammed in as I can. Add in all of the extra driving, getting David registered for his spring courses, teaching school and not feeling my best, it creates the perfect storm. Nobody wants to read a gloomy/hurried life update.
Gail, I will keep Billy in prayers that his eyesight remains stable and the glasses help. Thanks for the update.

Gail, Praying that Billy's eyes can remain stable and the glasses help his vision. I need to answer your email next. I hope the snow has moved on out and that you have fun with your preparations. I LOVE Thanksgiving, such a wonderful holiday of blessings and love.

thank you Judy. We actually leave home tomorrow to drive to Hartford CT which is about 3 hours from here. We got a nonstop flight there that was a great price. We spend the night at Days Inn and take there shuttle and the hotel room is cheaper than parking for a week. I'm a cheapy! Then we fly out early Friday morning for 9 days at Disney. I am all packed and ready.

I stayed up all night, dozed in the chair briefly. I wanted to get my Turkey on to roast. I had planned to go to bed once I put it in the oven; however, chickened out leaving it on while I slept. Pete just got up, so he can babysit it while I snooze for an hour. I NEVER have the bed to myself, so this is MY treat.




I have a day off to spend with my wonderful family...I feel incredibly blessed!

My trip in 2008 was off-site and we stayed in Windsor Hills (not sure if you were still looking for recommendations, but figured I'd throw it out there!)
