One became SEVEN?!? How did THAT happen? 4/24 UPDATE

Tracy - I will be praying for your sister, nephew and your family.

Hope everyone is well, was just popping in since I couldn't sleep (someone is snoring).

Tracy, sorry to hear about your nephew I will be praying that the infection gets better soon.

Judy, glad to hear that Lisa's therapy is going good and she is getting better. I am sorry to hear about your uncle. I know all about only seeing family at funerals. The last time I saw anyone on my dad's side was at my grandma's funeral 2 1/2 years ago, and some of them live less than 20 mins from me.

Yeah I am working, two twelve hour nights a week. It works good cause I can still help with my dad's care and get my work done for school.

I had to laugh about Pete and the hula hoops. I had a Christmas present hiding fail this year too. My mom bought my husband a saw for Christmas while she was down here last month. I had in under a blanket in the guest room he never goes into. I kept putting off wrapping it and then he decided to clean the guest room closet out and found it. So he got his Christmas present early this year.

Thoughts and prayers to all that need them.

Marilyn

I will just say things were difficult on many fronts here yesterday. I appreciate your prayers and those of you who say hi, even when I am MIA.

Tracy, You KNOW I am praying for Emile, your sister and family and for you! Few things strike fear in your heart like the passing of a child, especially one that shares the same diagnosis or circumstance as your own. I am truly sorry for all involved. :grouphug: Keep the faith, as I know you are. Your sister is incredibly blessed to have you.

*****************************************

I'm so sorry to hear about your uncles passing.

Glad the memorial was wonderful.

Maybe sometime you can drive there to hear a full sermon.

Hopefully the family can get together again under better circumstances.
Thank you Michelle. :grouphug: We had all said we would love to come visit ton a Sunday, the church was just so peaceful, comfy and lovely. It was clear to all six of us whose house it was. Health problems preclude the gathering of us all typically. Many of my cousins aren't well. I was actually surprised to see some of them out. My sister and I are the only two of the cousins (including my brother) who never smoked and it shows. Praying all is well and JJ is continuing to do well. :grouphug:
I saw his parent's on the news the night before and you could just tell they were overjoyed with everything that was going to happen for their super hero. I'm sure you do know!! You've unfortunately been in their place. :grouphug:

It always takes me right back. Thanks for understanding. :grouphug:

Oh yes so much could be done!! Now to start playing. :rotfl2:

Have YOu ??? :rotfl2:

Love you for it and everything else too!! :flower3:  As you know you always have mine too.

Thank you !

:rotfl2: Ok I'll let him have it!!! I want to play with it!! Now to get DH to get the rest of the Christmas stuff out of the attic so I can start putting it up. I want to take my time since I get so tired so quickly.

I would play with it too. Take your time and do it at your own pace...it will be special no matter WHAT you do, you know that though!

Ok ok!! Sorry!! Nope didn't know about the two different sizes. Had to laugh that she called you guys out on knowing there were two of them!!! I used to love hula hoops now not so much!! Can't get them to spin right:rotfl: think I'm a little too round for that right now.

The second hula hoop has to go back to the store, it is slightly off kilter. The girls and I noticed it immediately, Pete STILL can't tell, even after we pointed it out. :rotfl2:

Yep can't deny that sweet daughter of yours. Life is too short to stress over the little things.

She wasn't feeling her best yesterday, I was glad she had a good weekend. I spent 75 minutes last night just holding her, it was worrisome.

Seems to always go that way. Go to the MD find out what's wrong and then everything goes wrong.

Sadly, that is true.

I agree. They should involve the public more often. The support that little boy and his family received to make his wish happen was amazing!! I love hearing about the trips the kids get but it's nothing like where a whole city turns out to help make the day even more amazing!!

I wish they would! People have big hearts!

:grouphug: Sorry about your uncle. (I'm sure I read it before but I'm blaming the baby for not remembering.) Glad you were able to go and be there for he service. Also glad you got to see your cousins again (it is sad that the only times you see some of these people is during weddings and funerals.)

I think most folks missed about my uncle, I slipped it in and didn't make a huge deal about it. You are so right about family!

You guys make me laugh with your Instagram/hashtag talk and the temperature talk. My friend who is in Orlando for her DCP texted me earlier this week complaining that it was 60 and she was freezing...it was 30 where I live :lmao: So I am in Tracy's camp on that one!

Cool, not cold is my motto. I had to laugh about the weather, sometimes I thin know old I really am, talking about the weather. I never knew it could be such a topic of conversation when I was younger...now I ask about it all the time! :lmao:

So sorry to hear about your uncle, Judy! I'm glad it was a nice service and you got to see some family, though. :grouphug:

Thank you. :flower3:

Also, a friend of mine and I share Disney-related YouTube videos and the other day she sent me a video saying "YOU HAVE TO WATCH THIS." It was Lisa's MAW reveal! Of course I had to tell her that we were DISfriends.

This post literally made my day! THANK YOU for sharing and how fun your friend sent it to you! :flower3: I love that! :goodvibes

Now I have a favor to ask, we are less than 100 hits from FINALLY hitting the 20,000 view mark...if you are so inclined, please watch it a few times today and share it with your friends. Thank you in advance! Lisa's Make a Wish Video

Things are good here, I have a dance show this weekend so things have been crazy with rehearsals on top of homework, but I am just focusing on vacation...it's getting closer!!
How exciting about your show, but I know you are exhausted! Plus all of the stuff before going on vacation and Thanksgiving coming with instructors wanting you to finish things...I can only imagine. BUT, your trip is almost here, I am SO Excited for you! :cheer2:

I have watched the video a couple of times this morning and will watch off and on throughout the day.

I rarely ask for prayers, but I need them now (not that we don't always need them.) An issue that I thought had been cleared up by going gluten-free has reared its head with a vengeance. Plus, my nausea has returned. The good news is that I've lost 9 lbs in a week--the bad news is that this isn't a good way to lose them!

I am continuing to drink water so I can keep hydrated even though it goes right through me. I am trying to eat small meals with foods that are good for me because a diabetic needs regular meals. I dread eating because I know what the result will be. My doctors have never been much help with this issue. (And it seems like the sulfasalazine has stopped working.)

I'll try to watch the Lisa's video when I have a chance too! Hope she's feeling much better today.

Piper, so sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. I've heard that just 1/1000th of a piece of gluten is enough for your body to react to it and cause your symptom to flare up again. Watch carefully for those hidden wheat. Praying that your body will heal up fast and you'll be feeling better soon!

What! why do these people live in Florida if they aren't going to enjoy it? :faint: :rotfl:
My goodness, I hope the dentist is ok and get you fixed so you aren't in pain. :worried: I hate the dentist too.

Yesterday was World Preemie Day, so to all of you that were preemie or had preemie hope you had a great day :goodvibes

If you all could continue to pray for Emile and his mom. They had a rough weekend. Emile has an infection that they are treating.
One of the other babies at the unit passed this weekend and they have a going home ceremony in the unit. That hit my sister pretty hard.

I go back to the dentist in a few weeks to have it rechecked. There may be some nerve damage. I'm still having pain, but it's no longer excruciating and I'm able to deal with it taking motrin. He said the fact the pain is lessening is good. If I had gone in on Saturday he would have been doing root canals he said. Now we are in a wait and see.

My neighbors and friends only go to Disney when a family member is performing there or a field trip. Most have Busch Gardens passes since it's pay for a day come back for the year. Lots of the kids in our homeschool group have LEGOLAND passes. We let ours expire after the first year because there is very little air conditioning there, and they cut down the mature trees so shade is hard to find too.

They think we are nuts to go to Disney once a week. To each their own, I guess.

Praying for Emile. I feel so badly for that other family. I can see where that would hit home hard.

You don't have to ask me twice, I love watching Lisa's video. If everybody who read your thread would watch the video every day, there would be a lot of views. :goodvibes

I pray today is better for you all.

I know I've been missing (again), but just wanted to tell Tracy that I am saying prayers for your nephew, sister and all of the family.

Judy, sorry I've not been here. Work is super busy (end of year) and trying to get ready for the trip in two weeks and I'm getting sick (sore throat) on top of it). I'm glad your uncle's memorial was lovely.

Joining in.

I thinks it great that you all are going on the trip together!

Really digging that your house has a pool!
No better way to relax, especially with all the walking one does on vacation.
:beach:

Judy, I pray that today is a better day than yesterday. I've watched and liked the video again. As I posted in the comments on youtube, I cry EVERY single time that I watch it. I should have known better than to watch it at work. Now I have a Rudolph nose. :rotfl:

Tracy, I hope that your tiny little nephew is doing better and will continue to pray that God place His hands upon him and his family.

I was just wondering how they were doing. I'll definitely say prayers for sweet Emile and your family.
Thank you, appreciate the thoughts and prayers! Emile is back to gaining weight so that is a good thing!
I am praying for your nephew. I remember Judy saying the ICU is a roller coaster. I hope the infection improves quickly. :grouphug: How sad to see a baby lose their fight. The parents have to be so sad and your sister must be scared. I am sorry.
Thank you, it is an roller coaster, that's for sure, we appreciate the prayers! He does seem to be improving, he did lose some weight but he is back up again :goodvibes
Tracy, Praying for Emile and your sister!
Thank You, Gail
Tracy, I will be praying for Emile! I have faith that he will fight off the infection. hugs for you and your sister.
Thank you, Courtney, we appreciate it
Tracy - I will be praying for your sister, nephew and your family.

Hope everyone is well, was just popping in since I couldn't sleep (someone is snoring).
Thank you! Sorry you had to deal with snoring

Thank you for your prayers Marilyn! Glad your work shifts are working good for you, you have a lot on your plate right now

Yuk about the dentist, do hope you pain goes away.
I guess people live in places for a different reason than why people visit,(I don't own a dog sled team :rotfl2: ) but I would totally be going to Disney every week like you!

I know I've been missing (again), but just wanted to tell Tracy that I am saying prayers for your nephew, sister and all of the family.

So glad you are joining in! I am certainly looking forward to relaxing in the pool, love the idea of having it all to ourselves!

You snuck in on me Lisa!
Thank you!

There is a fantastic lady on the DIS that makes amazing, amazing, wonderful bags, D~ .

My first bag, Dumbo, traveled with me on my last trip:

Those are really great bags!

Judy I just managed to catch up on your links - I love to read the chat in between but, well after 5+ hours of yard work today and a rare luxurious hot bath I am DONE. No way I could read lots and lots!

anyway, I love the girls' Halloween costumes. Lisa makes such a cute witch - I love the photo where she is laying on the floor with her hands under her chin. cute!!1 and Rachel made a great vampire. loved the scary pose!

Sounds like VJ was really nice - lots of fun things for the kids to all do.

Hope all is well after your tests (UGH) and that everyone is healthy.

BTW what an amazing job on the clock! very impressive!!!!
Mary Ellen, always glad to see you here. :goodvibes That was a lot of yardwork.

Lisa was a cutie on Halloween and she is quite the little model, she loves to pose...Rachel was scary with her makeup. I love VJ. Spoke to their Special events coordinator yesterday. :rolleyes1

I have had a headache for two days, nothing a million dollars wouldn't cure probably. :rotfl2: I pray YOU are well!!

David is so incredibly talented! He made a pen last night that was STUNNING! Sadly we shipped it off before I remembered to take pics! If anyone is looking for a unique gift for Christmas or Hanukkah...

REALLY great to see you here. :goodvibes
I would like that, thank you.

I think men have the I forgot gene. :lmao:

I hope you have a beautiful Sunday. :goodvibes

Still no pics, so sorry! Soon! I loved Sunday...not so much the weekdays...

Good morning ya'll! Judy, I missed the post about the hula hoop and just saw it. Men tickle me when it comes to things like that. At least Pete tried. Some wouldn't have even done that much.

He gave it his utmost care. :lmao:

I'm glad that the memorial service went so well. There's nothing worse than going to a service and being able to tell that the preacher really didn't know the person. It's wonderful that your mother was able to give the family such touching memories.
The preacher was on fire for the Lord, love that!
I absolutely HATE funerals and told John that I don't want one. Give all of my organs away, build a box out of the wood in our cabinet shop and bury me out back. Or, give all my organs away, cremate me and toss the ashes somewhere in Disney World. ::yes:: I'll take either one. My train of thought is....If you didn't come see me when I was alive, don't come gawk at me when I'm dead. :p
I was so glad I was able to go to this funeral, I saw this Uncle much more than others who have passed. God worked out the details.

For me, I have asked the family to have a party when I die...seriously.I want laughter and music. There is a song by Jennie C Riley called "Shed Me No Tears"and I want it played or if they could muster it, the girls to perform it. I used to sing this song when I was a little girl and I sing it just a bit differently, same words. I am going to be home in glory and happy as a clam. :goodvibes

When my uncle was diagnosed with cancer of the esophagus and told that he would live only a few months, he told everybody that he wanted a party. He wanted for everybody and their "kinfolk" to come and rejoice in the Lord and celebrate his life. We had an amazing service at our church and people got on stage and told funny stories, shared memories, acknowledged everything that my uncle had done in his life. His story was truly a rags to riches story. It was so nice for my uncle to see how much everyone loved him and how much he was respected even though that's not what he wanted to have the get-together for. I am sure that it made his suffering and passing so much better for him knowing that his loved ones had celebrated his life.

Oh my! I was 6 pages behind already!

Congrats on booking the house. Sounds like it will be nice and spacious AND that fabulous pool! :thumbsup2 I love the idea of a house rental for vacation since you can have so many options for eating together as a family or apart if activities split you up but mostly just for the cozy family feeling.

As for your RFC meal, so sorry it was a bit disappointing. We've been there a few times and I have to say I'm not a huge fan as far as the food. The only thing I recall having is the burger which was ok. That was a hilarious quote from Lisa about the show being fun - if you are 5!! Perfect! :upsidedow

I'm so sorry about your uncle. At least he is at peace now.

Oh Brenda, I stay behind, but you know that. :sad1: I try though! I am so thankful for Tracy to rent the house, after the past month I have had it is just what we need to look forward to. I am going to get to cook for Tracy! :cheer2::cheer2: I hope she likes southern food!

If I ever make it back to RFC I am getting the sampler, I should have done that an Lisa's endorsement was the deciding factor!

Lisa is a card, even when she doesn't feel well.

Thank you for your kind words about my uncle, I am thankful he is at peace as well. :goodvibes

Weather sound nice - honestly I would be happy with 70F and definitely can't imagine wearing a coat at 66F, those people must be from warm places. :thumbsup2

I wouldn't wear a coat at 66 either, maybe not at 56...but I sure am not gong swimming in 70 degree water either. :lmao:

 Glad to hear the service was nice and your uncle is now at peace.

Thank you. :goodvibes

Whoohoo, some one on my side!! :rotfl: I have a feeling as far as temperature goes I will be out numbered over the week in Florida.
How cool that some one sent you Lisa's video!

It should be interesting to see what we think about temps. :rotfl2:

:rotfl:
I think the only ones with out pools were townhouses, all the house- houses had pools. It Florida, everyone has a pool :beach: :rotfl:

Makes sense

Judy - I am sorry about you uncle, I must have missed a post, then I started reading about the memorial service and I realized I didn't know that he died. My thoughts and prayers are with you and all of the family during this time of sorrow.

Thank you, sometimes I slip things in...Thank you for your good wishes!

Just popped in to say hi and hope you have a wonderful week.
Thank you! :flower3:
