One became SEVEN?!? How did THAT happen? 4/24 UPDATE

Happy Birthday Princess Lisa!!! I love reading the story again!! She is a beautiful blessing!!!

Thanks Judy!! Hopefully going to take more pictures. Just keep forgetting to pull out the camera (and not just my phone.)

Happy Birthday to Lisa! May she have another year of blessings and love!! I love the story of how she arrived with the beautiful floral scent.

So I wanted to share that I went to my 6 week post partum appointment today and got the official results from my doctor that my numbers came back way under where they could be and I am NOT diabetic!!!! I couldn't have been happier to hear those words!! Now I just have to go every year around baby JJ's birthday to get tested because I now run a higher risk of getting diabetes. I did see the test results before today and figured they were fine but it was great hearing it from my doctor.

Yikes, I haven't had a chance to catch up for a few days and look at all that has happened in the mean time! Happy, happy birthday to Lisa! We remembered her special day but I didn't get to the post office until Monday so her package will be a little late. :( So sorry to hear of all the physical issues folks are having; we'll be praying for you.

I don't want to go into too much detail, but David has been offered a job in VA, and we are seriously considering making the move. It would be a huge change for us, but I have such a sense of peace that if it is supposed to happen, everything will work out with selling the house, finding a new place, getting a decent school, etc. I have an appointment with a psychologist for Ezra for April to see about either an ADHD or auditory processing discrepancy diagnosis, but we may end up cancelling that depending on a few other things going on. For one thing, the Special Ed teacher came into the classroom and observed him several times and reported that she feels he is definitely immature, but not being so rambunctious that it would cause her to think he has ADHD. For another thing, his teacher said she has seen a huge improvement in him this past month since we did the first round of testing and thinks he is finally starting to settle down and cooperate with her more. I don't want to put him through unnecessary testing, but if there is genuinely an underlying problem, we should diagnose and address it. We are continuing to pray for direction on what God would have us do. I have been researching ADHD in the mean time in case that is what we are really dealing with and we are going to try some diet tweaks as well as having him get some more regularly scheduled pool time at the rec center a couple times a week to burn off energy in the mornings before school at noon. I am not going to consider medicating him at this time - I feel that behavior modification should be our first course of action before turning to medications, especially with a history of heart problems in the family.

Quick me update: I do NOT have melanoma! (Of course, I never thought I did until the dermatologist freaked me out last Thursday when I went in for something totally unrelated). Praise God!!

I feel incredibly relieved!!

Open Mic Tonight! The entire family is going to celebrate!!

Whew! That's a relief and very good news! Enjoy your celebration at open mic night!

How exciting and scary at the same time about the job offer. I think moving to a different area would be fun but it might daunt me at the same time.

I don't blame you about not rushing in on giving Ezra the meds. You are straight on it and that is good. Keeping the good thoughts and prayers your way!

Thoughts and prayers to all!!

FInally something good in the health news! I know you are very relieved, now then , how is your foot?

I am back!!! Bill's return was delayed. He got home FINALLY after many hiccups at 11 pm on Tues the 18th. We left for Disney on Thurs the 20th and are on the way home finally after discovering this morning that our minivan had pretty much bald tires on the front. I am sorry to have missed so much. Many prayers for all the needs, and especially prayers for Lisa's orthodontic concerns for a nonsurgical option.

Judy, do please let me know if you want to try some KT Tape for your tendinitis and I will send you some!!! I am glad you got good news from the dermatologist.

I have been thinking about you all and had to come check in here first! Love and hugs!!!

PTL to read about so many answered prayers! Judy, have fun at the open mic tonight and I know Pete and the girls will do great again.

Woah I obviously missed an update along the way. So glad you don't have melanoma. My brother died from that 15 years ago at the age of 27 :(

SO happy to hear the good medical news! I hope you are having a ball at Open Mic night...pics and videos to come?

BF's dad has improved a great deal so I am very, very relieved. Thanks to everyone who included him in your prayers.

Sandra that is great news!!!

Thank you!! I was so excited to get the news officially from my doctor and not just me reading them. :goodvibes I have also lost 20 lbs from what I was before I even got pregnant with JJ so now to just refocus and get back on track with eating and going to the gym. Just got to get my friend back on track too (but I will go with out her!!)
