One became SEVEN?!? How did THAT happen? 4/24 UPDATE

Judy, JJ's jaw was very severe. His pediatric dentist said he'd need the surgery but tried a bite plane to no avail when he was 4. When we first met you, he was wearing braces. They temporarily fixed his bite!! Now new teeth have grown in and his bite is off again, but nothing like it was before. He couldn't bite food off before. It had to be cut for him. Now he can bite right in to a slice of pizza with no problem! I'm sure the orthodontist can figure alternatives out. Do your research and find a good one.

Also praying for Lisa that she won't need surgery and that the orthodontist will be able to help her in other ways. Praying that things will be better for you and the family.

Remember I was telling you we were praying that nothing would happened to Billy because of everything else going on...well a couple of days ago, he cut his hand and finger while cutting wood. He got the bleeding to stop and we got it cleaned up and bandaged.

Happy belated 6th birthday to Ezra! Have you tried an elimination diet to help with his possible ADHD? Food dyes, wheat and dairy are usually the culprits. Try eliminating those types of foods for a few weeks and see if Ezra is doing better paying attention in class. Do some research online yourself. Here's a few articles to read and hope Ezra won't need the appointments with any therapists:

85% of Austistic and ADHD Children Allergic to Wheat and Gluten
"Gluten plays a very large role in many neurobehavioral issues. For example, children with ADHD do not respond positively to wheat. Also, in Autistic children, their brains produce too much glutamate which results in gastrointestinal problems," says Dr. Robert Melillo, founder of Brain Balance Achievement Centers. "An alarming 85 percent of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder have gluten or other sensitivities, while less than 10 percent have true food allergies, which are much different and easier to recognize."

Oh no, I will definitely be praying that Lisa doesn't need surgery! I am SO happy that she got the package and it could bring you a smile on a brutal day. I am excited to see pictures but I know you have a lot on your plate so I will be patient :) enjoy!
You are a doll baby...seriously! I wil get the pics up, maybe tonight, I just had a call from my doc, we added an appt for me later today and already had one for Lisa, so I need to get off this computer and do what has to be done, but don't want to. :rotfl2: It DID help so much!!
Sorry for the day full of not so good news but how wonderful that Courtney helped brighten Lisa's day!! :lovestruc
God Bless you Brenda, for your support!
Prayers that Lisa does not need surgery!! Hopefully they can fix it easily. I'll just share I had a really bad overbite when I was growing up (it was so bad that when I bit down my upper teeth protruded so far forward I could put my thumb under my teeth and hit the roof of my mouth.) The dentist originally said I'd need major surgery to correct it and then braces to fix that work. They also said I'd be in braces for at least 4 years with full head gear. My parent's could not afford that so they put if off since it wasn't affecting my eating or speech (I did go through speech therapy in elementary school but it was for my lisp.) Once my parent's figured they better do something about it and could afford it better than they could when I was younger (I was 15 when we started everything) they made the appointment with the orthodontist. Come to find out all that needed to be done was pull 4 teeth (2 on top and 2 on bottom) and once that was all healed up they were able to put braces on. I was in braces for just shy of 2 years and no head gear!!! I now have a smile I'm not ashamed of. I really hope that once you go to the orthodontist they tell you it's not as bad as they are saying.

Yeah for a package to help cheer up such a dreadful day.

Yes I do wish we were all closer and not just for the fun we'd all have but because I wish I could help you with all your going through. Even if it was just a ride for some one to a practice or wherever they needed to go.
Thanks for sharing Sandra, it helps to hear how you were able to overcome what appeared to be NOT great news! I will definitely get at least a second opinion, no matter what they say Tuesday. Timing is crucial. and I KNOW what a beautiful smile you have now, so that is good news!

Holding the baby would be good therapy for me, I wish you were closer..one of these days!

Thanks for sharing Michelle, it helps e to hear good outcomes and those in progress. I remember when JJ got the braces. Does he have an under or over bite? How is he feeling today? Prayers for you.

Thank you for the prayers Gail!:hug: I am BELIEVING things will improve!!

I am so sorry to hear about Billy! Now it is ALL over, everybody needs to be well, healthy and ACCIDENT FREE!!!!I claim it for you all!! How are you feeling?

Great news on the food stuff!

Okay, I feel slightly better about why we were hit with the dental news yesterday out of the blue. It could be because Lisa’s molars, when they came in exacerbated this problem. We really will not know more until March 4, but that will not stop me from researching.*I called the dental office to see exactly WHAT he called it yesterday. Lisa has a Class III Mesiocclusion,...I wonder why I couldn’t remember that?!? I have never HEARD of that! Her underbite is bad, although thankfully it hasn’t changed the shape of her face...but it COULD be affecting her voice/speech. From what I was told, an underbite is far more difficult to correct than an overbite which is why they couldn't give me more news yesterday. Bottom line, I can’t do a thing until Tuesday, so I put it in the Lords’ hands, I plan to enjoy the arrival of her 11th year to the fullest!

And we WILL be getting a second opinion.

Judy, I wish I could give you a big hug. I am sorry you got more not great news yesterday. I had a friend whose child had a terrible underbite. She had surgery and while it was not pleasant, she had a lisp and it helped, plus she could eat better. She also had a big jaw line and it helped with that. She is happy she had it done, but it was not easy. I pray Lisa doesn't have to endure that. That was so nice of Courtney to brighten up the day. :thumbsup2

I know you all have enough on your plate, but I know this group of prayer warriors can help me out...my boyfriend's dad is in the hospital and could really use the prayers.

Thoughts and prayers to all.

Tomorrow my Mom leaves the hospital and goes to rehab. Thank you everyone for your prayers.

Judy - I will be praying for Lisa's needs and your family.

Will also be praying for everyone else especially those who brought up there request. (Im a little scattered brained today sorry.)

I hate that it seems like everytime I get on it is only for a prayer request. Today we went to Monkey Joes, blow up bounce house type place, and as Annabelle got off the one of the slides to the ground, she was not doing anything inappropriate, she didnt even jump or bounce off, she hit her leg wrong and fell to the ground crying. We went to patient first they said it was severely sprained then called me back 2 hours later saying the radiologist looked ay the xray and we needed to go to the ortho. She has a fractured leg and is in a cast from toes to her upper thigh. So please pray for her. I am so thankful to God tho for having my friend to be able to go with me to patient first and my sister to the ortho with me, it was a huge blessing. I am also thankful she seems to be not in pain.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

Oh my gracious Rachel, poor sweet Annabelle. I will pray for you and she as she heals, that is tough! She reminds me of Lisa, big old cast and a big huge smile. What a trooper! Thankful you had supportive people to be with you!!

Judy- my youngest had terrible teeth . I would have guessed years in braces. We put them on late because we waited until all her teeth came in ( she was 15 when she lost her last tooth) but she only wore braces for nine months. Our orthodox uses sure smile, a computer modeling system that uses robots to bend the wires. It was only 400 more for this amazing system. Dd has weak enamel and we were thrilled to minimize her time in braces. Find an orthodox that uses suresmile for your .second opinion!!

Thank you SO much for the info on the suresmile, I looked it up and we do have two offices in this are who use it. That is why I love the DIS, so many people have good knowledge/support,ideas to share and I THANK YOU all!! They actually MISSED one of Rachel's baby teeth, so frustrating!Glad your daughter did well. Did she have an underbite?

Does anyone else have knowledge of underbites? I would love to know any tips for that as well! :goodvibes:goodvibes Please come out of lurkdom and share if you do!!

In the midst of the other fun things of the past week, I had a little “scare” of my own. I discovered a large “lump” on the back of my neck on Thursday last week. Because of vehicle problems and other appointments, I couldn’t get to the MD until this Wednesday. My doc thought the lump was related to a suspicious sore on my head and within 24 hours had me in to see the dermatologist (that is a quick turnaround, which gave me pause). He wasn’t concerned about the lump (reactionary lymph node) or the sore in my head (cherry hemangioma, irritated by shampoo and brushing my hair, causing an “odd” appearance and lots of bleeding, especially when I turn over in bed). He was exceptionally concerned about some spots on the back of my hand, so a quick biopsy and I was out of the office. I will have the results in 10 days. I have gone to the doctor more in the past 5 months than I have in the past 10 years. Time for the trend to stop, it is freaking the children out.

Oh no Judy! Extra prayers for you and Lisa.

Prayers for those who requested them also. I am ready for February to be over with. Praying that the rest of the year will be better for all of us here!

I hope today is a smoother day for all and that prayers are answered. Lisa is having a party for her friends in less than an hour and Rachel has a lock in tonight...I have no idea what the guys are doing, lol. Probably recuperating from helping me get the party set up. :rotfl2:

Gail, THANK YOU for the extra prayers!! They are needed!
His bottom teeth went over top if his upper teeth.

:thumbsup2

Sorry I haven't been on much, praying for everyone's needs.

Judy, I am sorry to hear about your and Lisa's latest issues. You are in my thought and prayers. I had a plain-nothing-on-it yam for supper and couldn't help thinking of Florida and smiling to myself.

Oh Judy, you can't catch a break, can you? :(

My boyfriend went home to see his dad today, he's not doing well at all, so my heart is hurting for their family. All I can do is put it up to God at this point though...

Thank you so much for the prayers. She is being a trooper; tried to walk some today. I am glad she has been happy and is not in pain, at least she tells me no when I ask.

I will be saying extra prayers for you and Lisa and continued prayers for the rest of your family.

Prayers for all I need.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. We will be going to my parent's on Sunday to celebrate my Dad's and Niece's birthdays.

Hi everyone. I am really sorry for coming here and asking for pixie dust but I really need it. First of all I am so glad that I am here to be able to write this. On Wednsday morning I sat my daughters cereal bowl on the side table and wen tto turn around to go back to the kitchen and felt a "pop" in my back and excruciating pain. I went to lay down to try to get it to go away but it got worse. My husband took me to our family dr and they called the ambulance from there. I was taken to the hospital where I passed out several times and stopped breathing at least once. They are pretty sure I stopped breathing because they gave me too much Delauded. So I am home but in so much pain it is unreal. We are leaving in a few weeks for Tube feeding camp for our son and shortly after that will be leaving for Disney World to see our daughter march in the parade. We are driving! 2 days of driving! I am pretty much the only one that can ride rides with Ty as his sister will be with her school. Could you please send pixie dust that this gets better and I will be as good as new in enough time to pack, straighten the house and enjoy Disney World with my family? I would really appreciate it!
