Once you're back home, how do you maintain the magic?

we do little things like use our old refillable mugs from the hotels for coffee or juice, and if I make pancakes for breakfast I'll make them in the shape of Mickey :earsboy:
We also have a lot of disney christmas decorations - around the holidays it's Disney everywhere! I'm working on slowly building a collection of Disney deorations for other holidays like Halloween.

When I was in Disney in July I saw lots of great Disney ornaments. We are putting up our main tree in our family room and a small table top tree in our living room. I'm going to buy Disnay ornaments for the small tree and make it an all Disney tree and buy the Disney train to go around our family room tree. Friends pf ours have the monorail going around their Christmas tree. I would love to do that, but that's their unique thing so don't want to steal their idea!

There's a thread over on the Theme Park Attractions and Strategies board where you can download WDW park music. They are MP3 files, so you can put them onto CDs. It's mostly parades, background music, and rides. It's very awesome!! I have about 70 songs that I downloaded from that thread!

If you don't want to download them, go to www.live365.com and do a search for Disney World. There are radio stations that play the same kind of music. Parades, background music, and rides. (It's like the DisRadio, if you've ever listened to that)

The DIS, Live365, my Wishes CD, breakfast pizza, Mickey waffles and my homemade countdown calendar, set for the next trip of course. Also, there is not a single room in our house that does not have at least something Mickey related.

i can't lose it,i would like to maybe for 1 day,i have not been yet but a disney film is on the tv or i trip over disney plastic figure :furious: why try to keep it when you can have mine :joker:

That is great, but I do not get the breakfast pizza. Please explain! I don't it to be something great that I am missing out on!

Check out the halloween sale this weekend only on disneyshopping.com! I ordered a Mickey candy bowl. That definitely helps me keep the magic!

How did you convert him? I need help!
Honestly I think he just got so sick of me yapping he finally said "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em". At night when I would be looking at things I would just casually ask questions about what he thought about this or that. Gradually he would come over to where I was sitting in the living room and pick up a book or take a look at what I was reading. I never pushed any of it on him...the Disney spirit just got the best of him!!Good luck with bringing your DH over!!!!

I bought children's travel mugs from Starbucks (you can design the mug) and made a collage of pics from our most recent WDW trip. Sometimes I just take the mug out of the cabinet to look at it.

Have you made a scrapbook of your trips? This could be a family affair with everyone participating. We do get the Disney Blues when our trips are over. We - I should say I - begin planning for our next Disney trip immediately. Even if it is a year in advance, I start looking for new things, deals, offers, freebies, and the likes. We also talk about our trip, as a family, sharing our favorites, etc. Oh, and if you haven't played Scene It! Disney version, I highly recommend this. We actually got together a few weeks ago w/ friends who will be in Disney w/ us in Oct and played Disney Scene it. We laughed and cut up. It was great fun. Even the kids can play! Of course, it was really special because they are as much Disney fanatics as we are. We are anxiously awaiting our Oct trip and have been watching all the different Disney movies in anticipation. I think this would be a good idea post-trip, as well. Have a family movie night - lights out, popcorn, and Disney Magic. Just my two cents... hope this might help. Have a magical day!
This totally worked for me! I did a scrapbook of our last WDW trip and relived the whole trip as I worked on it! Then, when you show it to people it brings the magic right back. We have thumbed through it a couple of times to get us in the spirit of our upcoming trip.
Also, watch Cinderella a couple of times!!

CP & CM have breakfast pizza on the kids buffet. There is an actual recipe in one of my WDW cookbooks but I made it a bit easier.

Pre-made pizza shells from grocery store topped with scrambled eggs, shredded mozzarella & shredded cheddar. Sometimes we add crumbled bacon or sausage.

Pre-bake the shell for about 1/2 - 3/4 of the package direction time, top as above & put back in the oven for another 5 - 10 minutes until cheese is melted & a little bubbly.

In the original they add heavy cream to the eggs & also include shredded provolone.

Kids love it.

For my most recent "magic maintenance" I put my first mickey antennae topper on my car. I know, I am so far behind. Also, I got the tip from "coolbeans" to put a mickey trading pin back on my crocs. I hope it works!

I listen to Disney music, view photos taken, and drink from my mug. If I get really desperate I go to the mall and walk through TDS but it just isn't the same anymore since CP took over IMHO.

I always have to have at least 1 trip in the works at all times.

That's my problem--I got nothin'! Woe is me! :sad2:

These are all wonderful ideas, BTW! Thanks!

I bought a Mickey Mouse waffle iron so I could make a Chef Mickey's breakfast for the family. We have a lot of fun with it as it brings back happy memories for all of us.

Does it work well? I have thought about one but wondered.
