Once Upon A Time

I too think he's either a bad guy or someone misunderstood. The only well know fairy tale whale I know of is the one from Pinnocchio unles his name refers to the sound but then that would be wail.

I have a book of fairy tales that my grandmother gave me in the 70's -- was over 3 inches tall. It contained the story of Blackbeard and Sinbad -- maybe one of those?

You may be on to something there. They may have just spelled it that way to throw us off. If it's meant to be the sound wail, a logical jump would be that he could be the boy who cried wolf. (wail/cry) It would explain why people generally don't like him.

But then the doctor element gets thrown in, and throws it off a bit.
As it's been mentioned, the
characters names as well as
professions tend to be in line with
who they were...what fairytale
character could be associated with
whale/wail AND healing in some
way? (not necessarily healing
health wise, but it could translate
into fixing in general) They would
also have to be a not so popular
character with questionable
motives. Perplexing! lol.

It IS perplexing lol! I just don't see him as an actual whale. But I don't think he was the good guy type in FTL. Maybe the sound wail is a clue.
So many things to ponder before October! Love it though; haven't thought of theories so much since Lost!

So, what do you all think? Is the purple fog just bringing magic to Storybrooke or is everyone going to be thrust into another land? Regina sure as heck looked pleased to see it coming...

I keep thinking back and remembering parts that I loved. I loved it when the guard took off his mask and it was the Huntsman :lovestruc It did catch my attention, however, that he said he gave his heart so that Snow may live and Charming gave him a quick, questionable look. I wonder if, in the future, these heartless people get their hearts back and maybe the Huntsman has feelings for Snow. Could create a triangle. :love1:

Regarding the mental hospital - who is that receptionist and who is the wandering patient??? Could that be Bae? And did you notice the room where Sydney was kept? It said "S. Glass" on the door.

The Huntsman means that when he didn't kill Snow White, and gave the queen the heart of a pig, she took his heart instead for his betrayal. I don't think he has feelings for her.

As for the wondering patient....Good thought...I didn't even think about that.

Am I the only one who thinks if Regina had kissed him, he would have woken up too? I do believe she loves him.

It is sad that at 3:00am this morning I woke up and my first thought was oh no if Regina has magic then she could kidnap Henry.

Does anyone think that Rumple has long term plans in place. I do not think that the potion in the egg was ever true love. He knew all along that true love's kiss is what would save Henry. He just needed Emma to get it for him.

Also since they are in a land of magic I do not think that the age differences are a big deal. In a normal world maybe but after all they have been through not a big deal.

This Sunday I think that my family is going to start re-watching from the 1st episode. The only show that me, my husband, and 4 year old can agree on.

The possibilities for next season are endless.
We cannot wait!

Just watched the finale!! Loved it!!

I wanted more out of the Rumple/Belle reunion!! He looks stunned at first and it was a great reaction, but then he goes off to unleash the magic and it just seemed so anticlimatic. Was "magic" bottled in that tube??? I know that Gold/Rumple pulled a fast one on Regina and Emma....because whatever was in there had nothing to do with waking Henry up...or maybe it could have if Emma did not give Henry the kiss of true love??? Maybe restoring "Magic" would have also woken Henry up.....Guess we will not know...

I am also wondering if everyone really knows who they"had" been in SB?? I mean...does Mary Margaret...now known as Snow White realize she was a teacher in SB...to me it looked like she was wandering around aimless....yet it seemed like David...now Charming....knew exactly where to go. The blue fairy/nun seemed to realize who she was and who she had been....but for others it seemed different. Not sure I am making sense here......

OR did he have this worked out with Regina to begin with, and only fake tie her up to get her on Emma's good side?

Finally watched!!! Wow really good series.:yay:

OR did he have this worked out with Regina to begin with, and only fake tie her up to get her on Emma's good side?

Yep....because I bet that EQ AND Rumple KNEW that all Emma had to do was kiss Henry to wake him up in the first place. Emma probably never needed to go and get the vial from the Dragon.

EQ and Rumple want "power" in the modern day.

Every deal/bargian/trade that Rumple has made since his son went into the portal to the world w/o magic has been in an effort to reunite with his son. He wanted the Queen to enact the curse. He wanted to be in the world with out magic. But he also wanted everyone else there too. Because then no one would have an advantage over him. He has said several times magic is power. I dont believe anyone was in on his plan. The spell he tossed into the wishing well was true love he used one of Charming and one of Snows hairs to make it. What Im not really sure about is who is going to benifit from this true love spell?

Yeah, but in her own selfish way, not true love.

S.Glass, is Sydney Jefferson's daughter??

I think Regina really does love him, and not in a selfish way. I don't think true love's kiss wouldn't have worked in her case because true love is mutual and even though she loves Henry, he doesn't really love her.

OR did he have this worked out with Regina to begin with, and only fake tie her up to get her on Emma's good side?

I don't think so. Regina told Emma that magic works differently in SB and sometimes you do not know the outcome. I think Gold/Rumple has had his plan in motion for a long time....long before giving Regina the curse potion....as soon as he lost Bae he began to plan.
