Once Upon A Time

I don't really like the Booth/Pinocchio theory. I have to admit that it's possible. Anything is possible when Rumpel is the Beast and Red Riding Hood is the Big Bad Wolf.

But, don't you think that if Pinocchio had been transported at the same time as Emma then the story would have been "Infant and Young Boy Found on Roadside" instead of "Boy Finds Baby?" The origin of the boy who found the baby should have been just as mysterious as the baby itself. To fix that problem you have to theorize that Pinocchio was transported into the real world enough in advance of Emma so that the story of his own mysterious appearance had faded. That gets a little convoluted for me buy it.

Then you have the character of Pinocchio in the story. He's kind of weak character. He makes some bad decisions, he redeems himself, but he's not really heroic. Our mysterious stranger seems like a different kind of person entirely.

Anyway, no offense to anyone who thinks otherwise. That's just my perspective on it. :goodvibes

I've been skeptical since Emma asked August, "What does the W stand for?" and he said, "Wayne." He hesitated before he said that. Going on the theory that he IS the actual booth/cabinet, maybe the W is "Wood."

But then, he claims he never lies... :confused3

And with my favourite character, Rumplestiltskin/Mr. Gold, I keep telling my DH that I don't think he's really evil. He's got that demon in him, sure, but underneath is his "heart of gold."

I don't think he's evil, either. He does bad things, but he has a heart and I think he roots for the good guys.

I think even Regina has a heart deep down in there somewhere.

I'm not exactly sure it's "gold" -- a bit tarnished. His fear of being perceived as a coward will crop up again, I think.

In the end, I'll wager that he becomes an antihero to the story -- much as Severus Snape wound up being to Harry Potter.

Anyone else think David's a knuckle head for the comments he made to MM in jail, when apparently he didn't notice that she was "different" in his hypnotic flaskback?! That memory was from FT land!

Yes, but I now completely and totally hate David. I'm so pissed that we have had 3 attractive men in all of Storybrooke this whole season and 1 is dead, 1 is all mysterious (me liky him), and 1 is a namby pamby moron!

I will still hope that somehow David is not Charming. Even after the damn flashbacks totally prove that he's Charming. Maybe he's both and SB just brings out his lame side!

Phew! I feel better now! :thumbsup2

Harlyquinn, your comments re: David/Charming are dead on!! I find myself wanting to shake Mary Margaret for even feeling "like" for him, let alone "true love". :headache:

I wonder, though -- most of the men from FTL seem pretty wimpy in Storybrooke -- David, Ashley's guy, Dr. Hopper (even Dr. Whale's wimpy in a creepy way). Maybe that's part of the curse so that Regina gets to play Amazonian?

When the Sheriff remembered about his past, he stood up to Regina, and she killed him for it.

Well since it seems likely that Rumple created the curse, and he was ridiculed for being a coward, maybe he put something in there that made the men of Storybrooke cowardly?

Also did anyone notice that when the curse from the potion broke, both Charming and Snow had a single tear running down their cheeks? And then in the jail when Mary Margaret told David to leave they both had a single tear again? I just noticed and wondered if it was something significant, like maybe the tears have something to do with breaking the curse too? I don't remember if in past episodes when curses were broken if there were tears involved.

Sunday afternoon, the creators of ABC’s “Once Upon a Time” visited Anaheim to take part in WonderCon 2012. Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis headlined a panel where they debuted tonight’s episode “Heart of Darkness” hours before its premiere. The pair also gave attendees an inside scoop on the spring finale and revealed one character’s big return. After the screening, audience members got to ask some important questions. Who is Dr. Whale in fairy tale land? And what other fable characters will appear on the show?

Find out more in our “Once Upon a Time” breakdown…

Guess who’s back?

The producers came to WonderCon with big news. A certain dead and scruffy male star is back from the grave. Jamie Dornan aka the Huntsman aka the hipster sheriff, will (once again) grace us with his presence. Kitsis proclaimed, “The Huntsman will be back for the finale. And I have to warn all of you he’s grown more handsome.”

What’s up with August?

Over the past few episodes, August has made his presence known. But aside from his name, and his meddling with Henry’s book, we know nothing about him. According to Kitsis, by the end of the season we’ll know who August is and why he’s in Storybrooke. A small bit of his agenda is revealed in “Heart of Darkness.” Pay close attention to a conversation he has with Henry at Granny’s diner. He’s a man on a mission.

Dr. Whale’s secret identity

One character who’ll stay a mystery a little longer is Dr. Whale (David Anders). Horowitz and Kitsis won’t be revealing his fairy tale roots this season. But they urge fans to be patient because they “have a plan.”

Characters on Horowitz and Kitsis’ wishlist

We’ve seen lots of famous characters appear on “Once Upon a Time.” They’ve done Snow White, Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Hansel and Gretel and many more. So who will they tackle next? The producers confessed that they’re desperately trying to get their hands on Peter Pan. They’d love to do Ariel from The Little Mermaid, Rapunzel, and Mulan is also a favorite.

More “Lost” stars

Earlier this season, Emilie de Ravin and Alan Dale guest starred on the show. Dale starred as King George and de Ravin as Belle from Beauty and the Beast. Both actors are best known for their previous roles on “Lost“ as Charles Widmore and Claire Littleton. Horowitz and Kitsis said, if the opportunity presents itself and the story’s good they’d love to work with more actors from their alma mater.
