Once Upon A Time

Still leaning towards....August is a grown up Henry....or the boy that found Emma because she was looking at her file with an article about the boy finding her RiGHT before August pulled up on his motorcycle. Either way....August wrote the book but did he live the FL stories or were they told to him? Sooooooo many questions. I am not good at waiting.

Ew to the bolded. That would mean he asked his Mom out on a date.

I am confused about this...maybe you all can help me understand.

Prince Charming was killed by the Evil Queen's guards just after he put baby Emma in the wardrobe. In another storyline, the King's son was killed, I think his name was David. Then, the king got the shepherd boy James to kill the dragon and save his kingdom. So, were there triplets, and not twins as Rumplestilskin claims??? Am I confusing these characters? I'm thinking they are all played by the same actor...and they are three different characters...is this correct? So, the spell isn't broken with MM's kiss, cause she is not kissing the 3rd guy of the triplets, who is Charming?

My second comment is about Emma having the gift that she can tell when people are lying. I didn't take that literally when she said it to the kids, Hansel and Gretel. I took it as she was trying to force them into coming clean, because she suspected something was up with them and their living situation. If she did have the ability to know who's lying, then she would not have been duped by Sydney Glass. She knows that Mr. Gold and Madame Mayor are seedy, shady and conniving, so it doesn't take special powers to know most of what comes out of their mouths is lies and/or half-truths.

Regarding Charming... they were twins. Same actor. Prince James, the one raised by the king was killed by the unkillable thing he was battling.
So Rumpelstiltskin got the twin brother, raised on the farm, but we never learned his real name, he just stepped into James' shoes. And Snow calls him Charming.
He was stabbed by the guards, so wasn't dead yet- which explains the coma.
He can't be the original James, because as Rumpelstiltskin said, "He's deeeeead!"

I agree that her "gift" is less of a truly magical gift and more of an intuition that is good for people in her line of work to have.

No - According to what's been revealed thus far, there are only two Charmings. The first was killed after the duel in front of his "father" and Midas. The king then goes and "recruits" his twin, who defeats the dragon and expects to go back home. Now that the kings have betrothed the "prince" and Abigail, the king won't allow him to return to the farm with his mother.

So Prince2 is engaged to Abigail and meets and falls in love with Snow, etc. Either he was only injured at the time of the EQ's spell, or the spell was invoked before he actually died, stopping his death, which explains why he was in a coma for so long.

Regarding the "lying" gift -- I'm not sure. Emma's story hasn't really been advanced since that episode -- she's almost a bystander at this point. I'd like to believe she wasn't as gullible as to trust Glass, but then I also had high hopes for David which haven't been realized yet.

Ummm, so which one is David in Storeybrooke? The prince that Snow married is really the shepherd boy?

So, the Shepard boy turned fake prince has yet to be revealed in Storybrooke then? He would be Snow's true love, and whose kiss would break the spell. She actually kissed the legitimate prince...whom she does not truly love. Hmmm....

At this point in the story, it is believed that David is the shepard boy because the real prince died.

No, David in Storeybrooke = Prince Charming who married Snow White in Fairy Tale Land. That's why we're all hating that he's so wishy-washy in Storeybrooke and wondering why since he and Snow have kissed that the spell isn't broken. They were "true love" in Fairy Tale Land before the curse, but even though they love each other in Storeybrooke (or seem to), their kisses aren't "true love's kiss".

No, the one she's been sneaking around with (who's married to Catherine) is the same person she fell in love with in Fairytale world. He was in a coma because he was stabbed before the spell hit.

The prince that James' took his place is dead. He died in Fairytale world so can't be alive in Storybrooke.

I read that a clue for Dr. Whale is he "cant' be tied down" but being Pinocchio makes no sense for him because Pinocchio was a child when they were all transported. What about Gulliver? Remember that he is tied down by the Lilliputians?

Do you have a source for this "clue"? I've never heard of it before.... Just wondering what the context of it is.

This show is so confusing, in the best way ever. I am so intrigued as to who August really is. I do not think he is a grown-up Henry. That would be too weird considering the chemistry with Emma.

We DVR and watch late, so I just watched the newest episode.

What was August doing with Henry's book? Was he repairing it, or adding a story?

I think there is a HUGE clue when August said to Emma, take a leap of faith with me or something like that. SO I was think who is a disney character that leaps (flies) could it be A grow up Peter Pan?

Interesting theory.

Though when I read your post, I couldn't help but think of Aladdin and how he says "Do you trust me?" to Jasmine before they jump out the window and again when they go flying on Carpet.

Good point, I didn't think of Aladdin, but they already did the genie story, but they could do it again:thumbsup2

We just watched last week's ep last night. DH has a theory that August might be the author of both stories. When I asked him what he meant by two stories he told me the fairy tail story and the one they are currently in. He's also comparing August to that of Jacob in Lost.

I'm just wondering if there will anyone else who will start to have their original memories coming back like Sheriff Graham did. It would be great if Mary Margaret and David do. Which reminds me, where did the name "David" come from when his name is James. the only thing I could think of is that "David" was the name of his twin brother that was killed.

I REALLY need to go on Netflix and watch Lost, just so I know what you guys are talking about!! :lmao:

Regarding the names, most everyone's name is changed in Storybrooke. Abigail is Katherine. Ella (Cinderella) is Ashley. Thomas (Cinderella's prince) is Shawn. Jiminey is Archie. So on. The only name that didn't change is Emma (not cursed) and Henry- the name on the tomb. But in Storybrooke he has a last name. :)
Notice that we haven't seen August and Mr. Gold interact yet...
Remember a few weeks back Mr. Gold was waterproofing some paper. hmmm...
The plot thickens!

I really didn't watch Lost. DH did and I only caught some episodes from the last season.

As far as Mr. Gold/Rumplestilskin (sp?) goes. I'm just wondering if he will eventually expose what Regina did. Especially after their little "talk" at the jail where he said is actual name and once he finds out that Regina lied to him about Belle.
