Once Upon A Time

i agree. I'm getting tired of everything getting shot down and Regina winning all the time. Why couldn't he have just gotten the note? Then Catherine would have had a happy ending, and that would have made Regina even more mad, that things are starting to slip through her grasp.

But Regina isn't winning - things are falling apart. Time is actually moving forward after Emma decided to stay in Storybrooke - as seen in the Pilot. Graham remembered everything before he died. Gold knows everything also and will play a big part in her downfall - he's been helping Emma all along the way. I honestly believe he wants back to fairytale world to find his son. Every time he says "Please" Regina has this look of "What the heck" on her face. She knows she has to let him have his way but it's aggrevating her. LOL!!

Emma has reunited Hansel and Gretel with their father. Regina also did not get her way with Catherine and David. She does NOT want Mary Margaret and David together and has done everything to prevent it but no dice.

The only thing that Regina is totally in the dark about is who Emma actually is. Gold, however, knows who she is and therein lies his advantage.

I don't think August is Pinnocchio either. The whole point was only 1 peson could travel in the wardrobe. I still think he's the author of the book. I'm convinced he came to Storybrooke to guide Emma and help her break the curse. At the wishing well he said something like "If you need evidence for everything, you're going to find yourself stuck in one place for a long time." Which I took as being stuck in Storybrooke. He's trying to get her to open her mind a little bit to things that can't be so easily explained. I'm almost certain he was adding additional pages to the story. He was trying to age the pages so they would match the rest of the book. It was his plan all along to return the book to Emma and Henry I think. Even when he gave her the water he told her something that was lost would be returned to her.

As for Katherine I don't think she's dead. I think she will turn up somewhere. Where do you think Frederick (don't know his Storybrook name) was headed? If you can't leave town why would people even drive down that road? (sorry..don't want to ruin things by adding logic...lol).

I really wish the good guys would win once in a while. The last time anything good happened was when Ashley/Cinderella had her baby in Storybrooke and she and Sean got back together. Regina is too evil, and that's going to get tired real quick if she doesn't lose once in a while.

I wouldn't call the Ashley/Sean/baby story a pure good guy win, because in order for it to happen, Emma had to make a deal with Mr. Gold/Rumple (Unless you count Gold as 1 of the good guys). I'd call the last good guy win was when Emma took a chain saw to Regina's tree.

I can't believe that no one has said this, but I HATE how weak/wishy washy the SB version of James is. SOOOO annoying. He's flipping prince charming! I understand we have to get the never-gonna-be-happy Snow thing, but couldn't they have found a way to make him strong and Regina still get in the way?

Otherwise the episode was great. Can't wait to learn more about August. He obviously is trying to get Emma to believe in magic, even if he has to nudge it along. I just keep hoping that he's her love and not yet another bad egg sneakily trying to mess things up. I hope he is the author and is trying to fix his stories, but that seems far-fetched.

.

I totally agree! I was wondering if something might have happened to him - his FT version seems to have much more of a backbone than his SB version. Or maybe just that he feels he owes something to Catherine since she helped him in FT.

Also - I think August may have written the book and now added something? But if he did, then Henry will know as soon as he sees it since he has clearly read the book thru and thru. And I agree with PP that there will be some significance to his name. August Wayne Booth. Can we mix up the letters to get another name (a la Tom Riddle and Voldemort)?

I think no one is 'themselves' in Storybrooke. Not the same personality.

But James/David is by far the MOST annoying of them all!! He's such a woose!

Driving myself nuts trying to figure out who August is. And I totally agree about James. For the love of Pete!!!!!!! If THAT's Prince Charming, millions of women will be willing to go solo!!!

watching now and googling...some mine/ some read online

August W. Booth - all black, rides, purple bandana. (knight, horse, royalty) Can't be the wolf - the wolf was in town when Emma tried to leave...it was in the street - rewatched the trailer at end of episode.)

Granny smiled and camera panned on her when Emma got on his bike and hugged him.

He stressed again, tells the truth all the time and a writer.

Why the wishing well?

David is the opposite in Storybrooke? Why?

Digging up clues: Love for people to play with them!

August Wilhelm Schlegel criticized the brothers Grimm and influenced them.

However, unlike Booth, Schlegel seemed to be the rule following grammarian - not a magic believing guy...

Brother's Grimm film released in US in August...

Brother's Grimm were Jacob and Wilhelm...

Could he be Prince Charming's Brother?

Wayne Booth was an American literary critic...he used Grimms' tales as an example in one of his books.

Nice DDD. :teeth:
Glad I'm not the only one that noticed just how different David/James is. Maybe David is really the brother? Wait they were look-a-likes not brothers right?

This is my thought on why the kiss between David and Mary Margret didn't work. As Mary Margret said, "This isn't love." Since it's not love, it can't break the curse. Just my thought

We discussed it several pages back. Too bad he hasn't found it, yet.

:thumbsup2 I've been finding David wimpier and wimpier -- Hope next week finds his lost testosterone.

No. They were twins but they were raised apart.

I noticed in the last episode the front of the book. The title of course is Once Upon a Time.....The O, U, and T all have highlighted squares around them.
It spells OUT.

Anyways....I LOVE this show so much! :goodvibes

So Abigail's true love Frederick.....is that not the guy (high school teen) she bumped into in the hall at school right before she smacked Mary Margaret? And the same person at the end who finds the car?

I think "Frederick" was the gym teacher at the school, he was dressed in athletic apparel and carrying different types of balls, they are also in a junior high school so he would be too old to be a student there. But yes, that is the same person.

I agree, David is really annoying!

I think August definitely has something to do with the writing of the book and knows what is going on in SB. I still feel he may be Henry's father.

What was the name of Rumpel's son?

His name was Baelfire.

I wonder about this one. I think if he was Emma would have recognized him. She was never under a spell. She escaped the curse.
