Anyone notice the "silver threadlike" bracelet the "mystery writer" was wearing on his wrist? DD and I went back to see if Rumples son had one on, but he had long sleeves on the whole episode. Anyone have any ideas if that was a clue??

Yes i did notice this bracelet. He seemed to have a lot of lock picking tools in a rather old leather case too.

When he asks Henry what the book is about Henry saids " stuff" Then when Henry askes Stranger man what he is doing in Storybrook he whispers "stuff". He has to know what is really going on in Storybrook.

I have no idea if Rumpel is the Beast or what he did with the Beast.

The thing I can't stop thinking about is Claire (from Lost) having to kiss him, like in the preview. Gross! :scared1:

I really didn't like last nights episode. Emma should not have fallen for Sydney's lies, she is supposed to be smarter than that.

Charming needs to end it with his wife.

I really don't like the way Henry is being treated by the EQ, she never shows him any affection, we never see her doing anything remotely motherly with him. Henry needs someone to love him. I don't like him being used as a pawn in the EQ's game.

If we don't find out that Emma is also using Sydney I am going to be really disappointed. I know we can't find out things too quickly, it is a TV show after all, but if it gets to much like "Lost" (all questions, few answers) I may stop watching. :sad2:

Last nights episode wasn't my favorite either. It wasn't my cup of tea at all. I too thought Emma would be smarter than that, unless she too is playing a game.

I wonder if she built that playground and something is hiding under it or concealing something of some sort.

The playground was built in the middle of the forest it seemed. Didn't that seem strange?
And to the PP who questioned the $50,000 price tag-Yes, that is actually on the low end.

As we’ve all learned from Lost, nothing is as it seems. I think that Emma is no fool and we will see that she is allowing them to “lead” her on until the opportune time to expose both.

In regard to the playground, it seemed strange that it was in the middle of the forest but that is also where Rumple/Gold was burying something a couple of episodes ago. I think that the playground is preventing whatever Gold buried from being discovered.

I also believe that what is buried there is the book (the original). I think that the book we saw in Sunday’s episode is a fake that Regina planted to throw Henry off. We really haven’t seen the book since the episode where Henry showed Graham. I think EQ/Regina realized that one of the reasons that James woke up and Graham was remembering was because of that book, so she had Gold bury it and now she put a playground over it.

I'm glad I came here to read some responses...I was starting to lose faith in Emma. I hope that she is aware of what is going on with Sydney or at least suspects it could be. I don't like that she didn't take the high road but I think she might have been reminded of why she should.

Next weeks episode looks interesting. I'm sure there will be some good reason Rumple is the beast and I can't wait to hear it!

That's an interesting theory. I didn't realize Graham was shown the book too (or I forgot).

However, wasn't Mary Margaret the one that first gave Henry the book? You would think she would have at least glanced through it before handing it over.

Where did she get that book in the first place I wonder?

Graham was shown the book when he went to Regina's house and wanted to speak with Henry. Then after he kissed Emma, the memories really started flooding in.

Mary Margaret read to James from the book and he grabbed her hand and awoke soon after. The book apparently has magical properties.

One thing in Sunday's episode that bugged me was that Henry made a comment to Emma when they were at the castle that Regina didn't know about the castle and boom!! She showed up. So if she didn't know about the castle, what was she doing there? I think she has a crystal ball. :scared1:

I believe Sidney said he followed them, but either way, just because Henry didn't think she knew about it didn't mean it was so. Who was who said there wasn't a thing that went on in Storybrooke that Regina didn't know.

When Sidney was talking to Emma, he pulled out a box of photos of Emma and Henry. Sidney told Emma that Regina had him following her and Henry and he was reporting back to Regina every time they were together. That's how Regina knew about the castle.

Sydney showed Emma pictures he had taken of her with Henry. Some of the pictures were on the castle. He told Emma that Regina had him follow her and document what the two of them (Emma and Henry) were doing. No crystal ball, just a magic mirror. :)

Don't know if this has been mentioned or noticed by anyone yet but my DH and have noticed that the cars being driven are all older cars (original bug by Emma and older MB by the mayor) and last week in the diner we noticed that the payphone was rotary dial and they even had a man in the background go over and check for change in it. We have noticed other things including the price of the playground that just don't go with present day values.

Does anyone else think that maybe the Storybrook story is taking place in the past (70's) and not the present? Do you think that would leave open a whole other story in the future?

I had never really noticed about the cars and such, but now that you mention it I do see it....but yet the style of dress is not 70's ......there is so much unknown on this show and I love every minute of it!

The motorcycle, the reporter drove isn't an older motorcycle.

crud...I missed it this week. What site is the best free one to watch it on???

I've always thought that Storybrooke wasn't in the present and then things would pop up that didn't seem to fit the era. For example, would David have texted MM 30-40 years ago?

Speaking of the playground... did anyone notice that it sort of resembled the EQ's castle from previous episodes? With spikey like petal things made out of metal?? :confused3
