Once Upon A Time Season 4 "Let's Hope You Didn't Bring Anything ELSA Back"

I have mixed feelings about the season. I think they could have focused more on the book and Regina finding her happy ending and still pulled in elements form existing characters. That combined with Gold's obsession with the hat could have been enough without going full on Frozen like they have. But I do like the Snow Queen (though Elsa is getting on my nerves a bit- change your clothes already).

I was also kind of squicked out by Robin and Regina getting together in the tomb where her father's body and all the hearts she's stolen are kept. :scared1:

And I like good Regina and love a redemption story but I still find it annoying that they act like she was just misguided and not a cold blooded killer. :confused3

THIS! Can someone buy her a new dress? Or jeans?? Get her out of that freakin gown already!

They can't mess with the signature clothing of their big cash cows. They want to be absolutely certain that everyone who is watching knows exactly that it's supposed to be Anna and Elsa at all times. Notice how Anna is always wearing the exact same thing in all the flashback sequences too.

I loved tonite's episode. I actually felt sorry for Ingrid at the end. Next week ought to be really good, as the "Dark One" plots and schemes once again. I am new to this show, so I am not quite up on just how evil he is, but I love the way Rumplestiltskin says, "Dearie".

I loved last nights episode also. Especially when Regina became her old bad self. Laughed when she saw herself in the mirror and said "what am I wearing" and proceeded to change into her queen attire (miss those outfits!!).

In the coming attraction for next week, I saw Cruella (sp?), Malefecent and someone else. I couldn't tell if it is the same Malefecent as the first season. Can anyone confirm its the same actress? Went by too fast and couldn't get a good look.

So starting next week, the villainesses are unleashed. ;)

The part that gets me is she's not even wearing the clothes that Anna OWNS all this time. She's wearing the clothes that Anna had to purchase because she wasn't dressed warmly enough. When Anna was wearing her "princess" clothes in the movie, they looked nothing like that. At least dress her like Princess Anna, rather than peasant outfit Anna!

(Not that Princess Anna's outfits were all that other than the coronation gown. It's just those aren't the clothes that it looked like Anna would normally have worn.)

The third one was Ursula.

I didnt mind the Frozen people this season, but thought the story they were given overall sucked. Some episodes were ok, but at the end of the day all it took to get rid of the Snow Queen, was a nice letter from her dead sister?? Did Emma even get her "happy" memories of when she was under her care as a foster child???

Hopefully the 2H of the season will be better......and also hope they progress the story around the writer of Henry's book.

The preview was the same actress. I don't think she has anything else going on since True Blood ended so there's no reason she can't be on.

I think she did -- there was purple dust going out to them.

I thought the same thing -- it was pretty sad....and bizarre. Throughout the first half, the SQ kept saying like it was such a huge part of this "big plan," but it didn't seem that big, IMO.

I thought the same thing! That's really all it took to defeat her?? LAME! What a waste of half the season.

Bring on Maleficent!

I liked the ending because I thought it was a good combination of the OUAT "happy ending" theme and the Frozen "sacrifice" theme. The SQ was obsessed with replacing the love she had lost from her sisters and she was willing to do anything to get it back. When she read the letter she realized she had never lost her sisters love and got her happy ending.

Her final act of sacrificing herself to save others fit perfectly with the Frozen theme.

Hopefully they will now return to Regina's happy ending storyline but I thought they did a much better job mixing in Frozen (on pretty short notice) than they did with the Peter Pan storyline last year.

I liked the episode. I did think that it would take a little more to defeat her but I can see that it does follow the Frozen sacrifice theme. She did exactly what Elsa or Anna would have done if they had to---she sacrificed herself for those she loved.

Am very much looking forward to the next half of the season! Ursula, Cruella and Malificent! Should be a great half-season!

Seemed kind of rushed and thrown together after all that buildup but at this point I'm just glad the whole Frozen storyline is OVER. I hope.

I loved the way that they wrapped things up. Certainly didn't expect the turn of events with Gold and Belle.

Gotta wait 6 weeks to see what happens next.

I just didn't find the new villains to be very intimidating. Love Cruellas look though. The hair was very cool. I think at this point they need to be stepping things up a bit.
