Once Upon A Disney Wish Live Updates

Good idea. I didn't think of B2B. Even a 4-day cruise sounds like a recipe for disappointment for me. 7-days is already too short.

We did a b2b on the MV of the Dream and the cruise after as I needed more than 4 days to explore the new ship.

I'm not sure about that.... there's a whole bunch of platinum members but this cruise is going to expensive and it's a pretty big ship.
with all of those future cruise credits out there, they wont seem as expensive as you might think

I'm talking about the slide to the kids club. The adults have nothing like that.

Oh. I have no desire to play in a kids club or do slides. There are lines that have those things for adults - thankfully Disney isn't one of them.

We not only don't have a slide lol (not expected) but we have a pretty much non existent adult pool on this new ship! Come on Disney, really?? Its almost like it was an after thought, maybe 3 adults can fit into it on a day at sea.

I would love a lap pool. The pools in the video look like they were taken from the Love Boat set.

So now that we know when the Maiden voyage is and the booking dates etc....does anyone know how the pricing of booking a MV on the first day compares to booking a later version? Is the maiden voyage cheaper or more expensive than subsequent sailings?

I would take the Love Boat pool over this adult bath tub size "pool"! What were they thinking??

More expensive, and more restrictive. The 20% deposit for example is non-refundable.

Edit - just realized this is an older thread; I am going to merge it with the newer ones.

with it being a one off 5 night and basically at the beginning of summer............get ready for high dollar pricing

The pool area for adults isn't that great on the Fantasy. It's really a bar area with a splash pool. I didn't end up using any of the pools on my last cruise. When I think of swimming, I think of exercise. So we booked excursions every day.

the aqua mouse looks to be a ride that uses the same technology that the aqua coaster at Volcano Bay uses.................which is a really fun and exiting water coaster

For years there have been discussions on how they should revamp the Castaway Club program. Not sure the prioritizing of the Platinum bookings for the Wish is a preview of that new system or not. I used to think it should be just number of cruises but now I have come to think that a combo of number or cruises and nights sailed should be considered in a new system.

We have 45 DCL cruises so are lucky to be able to book on May 17 (my birthday!!!) but I do feel for others who have strived to get to Platinum and now have to wait extra days to book.

We have been cruising with DCL since literally Day 1 as we were on the Magic's Maiden Voyage. For that there was a lottery system for reservations. You had to book a reservation for the MV but they only picked the amount of reservations to fill the ship. Not going to lie...there were tons of issues with the MV. The Dream MV was better but any MV will have its share of missteps.

I think the 20% deposit may deter many from booking and then cancelling so it may help as people won't just book to book and then willy nilly decide to cancel.

Good luck to all who want to book!!!

Anyone know if the pool on Deck 14 is a family pool or adult only pool or a concierge pool? It is not labeled.

MJ

glad to see the concierge expanded to 3 levels now and they have their own pool area to hang out. Going to be more difficult trying to get a cabana though.
Agreed. With the cost of concierge cruises there really needed to be a little bit more love put into the sun deck area. Looks like its going to be a beautiful space with an incredible view!

So it looks like there may not be a chance to do a B2B with the MV on the Wish. Looks like there is a DVC members only cruise on June 14th thus eliminating a B2B cruise for the general public.

Where are you getting that info? From the deck plan?
