Once resale closed, how long before you could book?

Hi all, my in-laws bought AKV points resale and the title confirmed it closed and now points have been sent to Disney to transfer into their account. Just from DISers experience, how long was it after you closed that you could book? I had read about people calling MS accounting to see if their points were loaded. Any experiences about this appreciated (for RESALE)

Ours was about 19 days after deed was filed, that we got our member number in the mail. It says can take 2 to 4 weeks. Ours was over a holiday, was filed right before new years. Then about another week and we got our packet from disney. Ours was missing the online info, so I had to call and they gave it to me. I think they will have to wait till the member number comes.

Ours were the same as the previous poster. I think one took 19 days and the other took 20 from the date the deed was recorded (which was the day before the companies notified us).

Our experience was about 2 weeks, and we were NEW members. My broker recommended calling MS every other day to get online activation code, which I did successfully at about 2 weeks post closing.

I bought resale as a new member last April/May. I received my membership number in the mail 16 days after closing, and I called MS the next day to get my activation code.

We closed on January 28 and the deed was recorded on the 29th- I called member accounting today and I was given my member # and told my account was set up and good to go so I booked my first trip. It only took 6 days! Good luck!
